I noticed that against the bengals, the steelers OL were blocking straight ahead and sticking with their man and creating good holes for the RBs. In previous games where the OL block the first guy than slid to block the second guy (zone blocking), the running game absolutely did not exist. I hope the steelers stay with the straight ahead blocking and staying with their guy. this zone blocking is not working for us or may by our running backs have a hard time reading the zone blocking.

Our guys our most effective when they control the LOS 1st...We have had 1 good game rushing and 1 great game rushing...In both those games we did what I have been suggesting,,,We combo block and catch next level Defenders in the wash or come off perfect combo blocks...

When we try 1 on 1 and go straight to the next level we get no movement and our RB'S get hit before they get a chance to start...Hat on a Hat and control the LOS let the RB'S do their thing and we have a solid running game...

Football is still football. You block and you tackle.
Can you beat the man in front of you? Its really that simple!

i think people are to high on our game against the bungles. our line is still slow and we are not going to do that against most teams with good fronts. not going to happen. they are not that good. the bengals were bad. this was a fluke game. colon and max are not very good. legs did much better than i expected. foster has been playing well and adams is looking better. thank goodness heath is there to help us. we won't have legs playing this week either. i think people are reading way to much into our line improvement against the bungholes.
