This fan base literally whining about every pick. Your mock drafts you had were pointless, you don't know anything, you never met and talked to prospects or even watched most of the games they played. None of you are GM's, scouts etc. "i had this guy rated higher than him in my mock! Colbert misses again!". You sound dumb. Game is played on the field not in your little draft you made up in your head, wait until the season to start the crying at least.

Well, that just eliminated any credibility in this zip code.

But, the thread title is nuts on.

Right.. Who even picked the Browns #1 pick..

The Steelers were supposed to draft defense down the line according to this board. It was a bit offense heavy.

Some people just have to complain all the time.

Putting down billion dollar organizations gives them a self esteem boost.

I mean the Pittsburgh Steelers "only" won six super bowls.

And, like him or not they used the 1st pick on defense.

That one pick is worth more than all the other picks put together so we did draft defense.

Our defense is what kept us out of the Superbowl, namely our run defense.

We drafted no linebackers and a DT in the 7th round? Should we expect anything different? Our LB depth is shaky at best.

    Colbert screwed this up!

I am constantly disappointed in my expectation that the average fan is capable of logical thought processing and expected gain value.

Our main MO is to scream loudly when someone throws a ball in the air. Temper those expectations there, fella.

My god, how boring would this site be if every post was "I have full confidence in anything and everything the Steelers do because we have won 6 SB's. I have no opinion on my own."

TTF, please ban personal opinions on this site, because apparently we don't know anything so we shouldn't speak our minds

Speaking ones mind and acting like an idiot are two different things.

This is a message board. Varying opinions are encouraged. But this board is way better than most, and a certain amount of intelligent demeanor is expected.

Well, someone should inform all the mock drafters starting with mel kiper and Todd mcshay that they should stop predicting. Because, they get paid for being wrong ... lol ... and because of all that you have listed above ... lol

Well I gotta be honest, I truly don't know what the point of this thread is, except to **** on 99% of fans, nor the point of Jeh's post either. Fans are fans because they want the team to succeed. They have opinions about the best way to accomplish that. Sometimes they are informed opinions, sometimes not. Either way, without fans, there's no sport. I find mock drafts interesting. It gives me insight into why a player might be taken earlier than expected or why he might fall. Sure, many mock drafts are wrong, but NFL GM's are wrong far more often than they are right. Hell, I'm convinced I could do a better job running the Bills than the current administration is doing. I truly believe that, yet according to the OP, I don't know anything because I don't work for an NFL franchise.

The reality is unless you played in the NFL or have some close connection to a current exec, you are not getting in.

Mock drafts are always fun . However, when you think your mock draft rates over what Colbert is doing you might be delusional. That is what I was trying to imply with the OP. He's a top GM in the NFL and he has the inside scoop and for sure evaluates talent better than anyone here. Those are facts. When a player is drafted earlier at what you had him "rated" or "projected" at, then you proceed to riducule a highly successful NFL Gm, you are a fool imo. Wait and see how the product is on the field then you can be a couch hero
