:towel:This pick was my biggest gripe on draft day (I think I gave it a C-), but the more I've read and the more I've watched, the more I like it. Who else is dying for the opening kickoff in preseason? I don't care if it's 9 yards deep, I want him to take it out!

That and I'm hoping he can return punts, he'll make a much bigger impact if he can. :clapping:

Also, with all the rules protecting defenseless receivers, he might be a viable threat in the passing game despite his small stature.

Me too. I was disappointed on draft night, but now I'm dying to see him in the return game.

Dexter McCluster Jr! You can't have enough weapons in the NFL. Wait til they run 4 WRs and he's in the backfield. One missed tackle and he is gone!

Just a note about all the comparisons he's drawing to Dexter McCluster:

    Archer - 5'8", 173 lbs., 20 reps, 4.26 forty, 1.46 ten yard split
    McCluster - 5'9", 172 lbs., 20 reps, 4.53 forty, 1.55 ten yard split

By the numbers, Archer is a little more stout, a hell of a lot faster, and more explosive (he beat McCluster on the jumps, too). They tied on the shuttle run. The only thing Dexter wins between them is the 3 cone drill, but Archer also did very well in that.

I think McCluster is Dri Archer Jr.

DA is just one of those players that can make things happen, when the rock is in his hand. I think Coach Haley will try to get him about 8-10 touches a game. DA is better then Darren Sproles and look how Sproles has helped Drew Brees out over the years. Now, McCluster has started making his mark in games and truing into a real threat for other teams to defend. So I think DA is going to have some success in todays NFL. I know he's not as big as Eric Mercalf, but Archer reminds me a lot of him. Metcalf used to kill us when he played in Cleveland...lol. Do you guys remember when he played for the Falcons, he put up big receiving numbers, from the slot. The steelers already said "more no huddle" this year. So maybe this is another way for Archer to get onto the field. Hopefully, this kid can return punts and help change the field position and be electrifying in the return game , no disrespect AB.

I see him used in bubble screens mostly. I also see him outrunning his blockers. My crystal ball is in need of servicing so I could be wrong.
