He will probably sign with the Pats to replace Lewis and kill us in the AFC Championship Game this year.

Talk about a landing spot. It will be pretty telling if the Pats have no interest in him.

Wow, what a tremendous ego on this pint size little man.

Earn your job Dri, stop looking for handouts, you were lucky to be picked in the 3rd rd.

    Turned down 10 offers. SMH.

I suppose he still thinks he can make a roster and not be 'trapped' on someone's practice squad if an injury causes an unexpected opening. I don't know that he's right. I can't see too many teams interested in him as a late season replacement, since he's shown so little. But I'm sure he'll get some opportunities to come to training camp next yr. He'd probably do ok in the CFL. He hasn't shown me enough to believe he can play in the NFL.

As bad as Dri Archer was I think it's more of the same for kickoffs.

I think the Steelers just left a message, and he played it back 10 times and said "no" each time.

I think that limits who he can talk to about openings on the 53. While he could still be signed to anyone's 53 man roster from the practice squad, I'm sure there are some sort of restrictions on how aggressive his agent can be contacting teams about a roster spot.

Either way if I was him I wouldn't want to stay on the market too long. If you pass on too many smaller opportunities, you may not get one at all.

Yeah Bill is a master of taking losers and making them winners. If he doesn't think he can do that with Dri I'd say he has no future in the NFL. Maybe he can go to Canada?

I wish that sounded crazier than it does a real possibility. I wasn't a huge fan of his KO returns but the Steelers kicked him to the curb for a washed up player with the same attributes. Essentially nothing gained by the decision. Another head scratching move by Tomlin and Colbert.

You hit the nail on the head. Brady will show you how to use him. Brady has no respect of person... He doesn't care if you're 2ft or 10ft tall as long as you can catch. Use your speed to get open and I will get you the ball

I hope Colbert learned his lesson and to not draft a player just because he's fast, more important is can he play the game.

I just wish they would get over these "project players" altogether really. I mean I know it's somewhat of a tradition that The Chief liked to do but he more done it by drafting like "hometown" guys late. Not drafting project players early.

Archer was a fast guy, not a quick guy. He had issues making that first guy miss and went down on first contact. Give me somebody 2/10 second slower but who has that quick twitch, cut on a dime ability like AB anyway.
