But didn't you say there's no proof if the steelers didn't draft Pickett he wouldn't have been taken in the first round?

Possibly. It's tough to say because reports are mentioning that teams can't negotiate with him till after like the 15th. So no one knows if it's simply the fact of no one wants him at the price he's going to cost or teams are waiting until they can officially talk to him.

Added to the point of these reports, the Browns were not in the Deshaun Watson picture until they were!

Remind me of how the Tag works again, and does it change post draft?

If I was in charge of a team that wanted to trade for Lamar, I would keep and use my 1st round pick for this year and then after the draft I would do the contract and give up 1st round picks in 24 and 25.

What year do the 1st round picks have to come from?

    This is getting strange.

Lamar is denying it on twitter, but then what caused this memo to go out?

Apparently he does know this guy.

After all the trash talk from Ravens fans during the Brown drama, watching this unfold feels very karmic.

Lamar "The Great" Jackson wants a trade because they are not realizing his value :roflmao:

To bad they won't back up the overstuffed Brinks Truck and sign him to that monster deal! Smart for the purple crows to get rid of him. Once the legs go he is done which could be soon.

They already offered him the chance for a trade

The cost is two first round picks which is fair

The dumb ass just doesn’t realize he just isn’t as valuable as he thinks he is

The thing I can’t get behind with players is like Lamar here saying I have to do whats best for my family. You were offered 133 million guaranteed. Unless you are that player that has like 56 kids with 56 different baby mammas then 133 million will take care of your family. Thats not even counting the rest of that contract offer or future contracts.

Anyway, good news for the Steelers either way. If he got paid, his contract would have crippled the team and if he doesn’t play another down with the Ravens, they have to find a new franchise QB.

So if he were free on the open market you think no one would have offered him anything?

    Read this slowly

    He asked to be “traded”

He’s available for trade the Ravens want two first round picks and so far no other team is interested

Lamar is too dumb to know better that’s why he should have had an agent

You said he doesn't realize he isnt as valuable as he thinks. Just because no one is offering to get him for the stipulations the ravens have put on in order to aquire him doesn't mean they don't believe he's valuable.

And why the ravens trying to get 2 first round picks if he's not that valuable?

The butchering of the English language in that tweet kinda tips me off to how effective his negotiating skills are and how effective he is at representing himself.

Are these billionaire owners doing anything to not maximize the most most income possible they can get? So why do people get mad at a millionaires for not doing something billionaires don't do? When had enough money ever been a thing? Elon musk and Jeff bezos still working last I check and they have so much money it's nearly impossible for them to go broke.

Your time in the nfl is so short. Lamar should maximize whatever he can monetarily. The ravens organization are a business and so is lamar jackson.

Your lack of logic and knowledge of the business side of football amazes me

You are old enough you should be able to understand this better

I apparently am not qualified to teach you maybe Scribe can help you
