Does anyone know his status? I think he was a RFA but I didn't see where the Steelers tendered him. I like Doug and think he's a serviceable and versatile backup. Any news?

If Foster could learn Center, it would solve that problem right quick. Maybe Beachum could learn it...?

legs is a ufa. malecki is here too.

i do expect beachum to get some time at center in camp. they talked about that last year but were concentrating on LG and LT with him. he ended up starting at RT then, so it didn't go any further. i doubt legs gets an offer at least for now and another team may take a shot at him. he's got a few starts under his belt as we know.

I'd rather have Beachem learn the center spot. He seems like a good fit because he's pretty athletic and from what I've heard probably one of the smartest guys on the team, both good for a center.

Legs' only real asset is his versatility, and he makes good reads... but I wouldn't want him for any more than the minimum.

He's probably going to be one of those guys...who may not sign anywhere for a while (lower level FA)...and if the Steelers want him back they'll scoop him up later.

Hope they keep him, good backup who can man several positions. Haven't heard a thing about him though so far.
