It's funny. I am sitting here watching the Chiefs struggle mightily with a bad Bronco team. Are they overrated? Are they only 10-1 because they are lucky? Worst 10-1 team ever! You would think Andy Reid would have had them better prepared!

They are a great team. People just love to hate the Steelers so they need to prop up a potential team to knock us out, so they can sleep at night.

Pretty sure the Chiefs are the absolute worst 10-1 team this year. This game is further evidence of that.

    Double standard?!

That is the normal for very successful franchises/businesses in all of Media. Any time a big company or franchise is not performing well despite the results, nitpicking commences. Nitpicking then leads to multiple forms of confirmation bias across a wide spectrum of platforms. False information sadly allows far more eyes on the screen than without.

In short?! Entertaining news sells; factual or not. Welcome to the standard practice of profitization known as false advertising.

And Chris Jones hit Lock on the head with his hand on the last drive, but no call. I like how Denver tried to keep Mahomes on the sideline, by running the ball, yet KC still had 440 yards of total offense in 29:30 of ToP.

Chiefs were woeful tonight and lucky to get away with the win. Lock is so limited, Denver couldn’t really move the ball in the second half.

KC are SB champs and have the leagues best player at the leagues most important position so they will always get the benefit of the doubt from the general public. They have struggled against several average opponents this year however, and are definitely beatable.

Win or lose KC still has a run game, unlike the Steelers.

And that isn’t me being a hater just because... run the ball with effectiveness and I’ll be happy.

I thought the same thing watching football today media darlings like Seattle (L to Giants), Saints barely beat the Falcons and Chiefs struggled with the Broncos, but you won’t hear they are inept teams, what is wrong with them and where is their next lose coming from. I will say this having watched KC now for the pass couple of weeks. Traditional football philosophy needs to go out the window when playing them, you need to gamble which means going on 4th down more than you normally would. You must play aggressive the whole game, I don’t know if Tomlin has that in him.

I saw a team last night that dropped some balls. Passes were dropped by marque players like Hill and Bell. I saw a team last night that iced it's own kicker by taking a delay of game penalty, turning a 43 yard field goal into a 48 yard field goal. I saw a coach who missed out on the opportunity to challenge what should have been a Tyreek Hill touchdown by rushing his punter on to the field. (If only Andy Reid would hire someone to tell him when to challenge.) I saw a team that struggled with the run, even though the Broncos are not a great passing team. I saw a team that moved the ball just fine throughout the game, and struggled in the red zone.

My point in all this is, that good teams do not just play perfect football, and blow out lesser teams every week. Good teams win games even when maybe they shouldn't. The things that we nitpick about, can be nitpicked about watching almost any NFL game.

The double standard, when it comes to the Steelers, isn't just a media double standard. It's a Steeler fan double standard.

The donkeys could have won that game if it wasn't for the dumb coach. They ran all over the KC defense, Gordon had 131. There run D is the weak link. But with nanosecond Mahomes the game is never safe.

If we face them a solid run game would sure help, in which I hope will change.

They're a great team obviously, Super Bowl champs... But they don't have that same aura about them that Brady's Patriots did for so many years, at least against us. Let's face it, most of those games were lost before even leaving the tunnel. The Chiefs are beatable. Their defense, specifically, is questionable.. Mahomes is Brady-like, but Reid is not Belichick.

Just something some ESPN radio show host was promoting today. If the Steelers go undefeated MT is coach of the year, but if they do not (lose once?) then Stefanski is that choice. My argument is not for either one, just the stupidity of that argument. There might be other coaches under consideration, but to say one loss should determine the outcome is mind boggling. Same argument could be made that with all the talent the media 'glorification' of the Browns the last 2 years that with 3 losses (so far) they have under performed (I do not personally believe that, just saying media touts the things they want to push). One guy even said after yesterday's performance Mayfield will likely be the Browns franchise QB they invest in...really? He may indeed become that guy and take them deep in the PO's and even a SB, or he may fizzle and be the inconsistent QB he has been. Again not arguing for either one, just that media has to have that story for today...and then little to no accountability for what they say.

Run defense is clearly a significant weakness for the Chiefs. Sadly, the Steelers don't seem to be equipped to take advantage of that weakness.

The delay of game penalty on the Chiefs field goal was clearly a mistake by the official, same with the touchdown pass that Hill didn't realize he actually caught. Just sayin'...

I’m not so sure that it’s the Steelers can’t run the football so much as they prefer to just sling it.

Ben has a lot of toys, I think they just want to attack teams that way.

Exactly. Its hard to be effective running the football, when you don't do it very often.

What running game? We haven't even tried yet. Ben wants completions not rushing attempts.
Under Haley he threw 60% of the time.
2018 Fitchner - 66% of the time. :icon e surprised:
2019 Mason threw around 56% of the time with so so results playing a depleted backfield, Samuels carrying the ball.
Ben's on track for 60% this year. Expect
    600 attempts.

Everyone on their team are currently sb Champs. They've proven already what they can do when it matters so no one is looking at every little thing they do now. The chiefs are judged by the playoffs. Ben is the only steeler who's proven he can win a ring

Really with them not even trying to establish a ground game, it’s hard to say. It’s not like they were running with Conner either.
