I can't think of his name but the dope smoker I think from Nebraska. I thought I saw a craw on ESPN he was going to visit the Steelers. Hope since I do not see it here that was either BS or someone changed their mind? He is supposedly a 1st rounder and I think his 1st name is Gerald

I honestly don't care that he puffs, other than he was too stupid to lay off it when he knew he was gonna be tested. THAT is what bothers me, AND the fact that they say he is very raw, and doesn't defend well against the rush. For those who think that weed is an indictment on someone's character, I wonder how you will feel when it is totally legal, like it is in CO? In reality, we should point the dirty end of the stick at those who drink booze and smoke heaters. Hippie lettuce actually has health benefits in many instances. You can't say that about heaters.

I hope the Steelers pass on Gregory, it seems like he's addicted to weed. You don't show up to the biggest interview of your life the combine with weed in your system

I agree. It has a lot to do about availability. Will he be available come game days or will he be sitting out due to the NFL's drug abuse policy.

It's physically impossible to be addicted to weed.

Lloyd is right. It's not physically addicting. It is possible to be emotionally attached to it or mentally dependent on it... But a physical addiction is different than that.

I don't know how to explain it since normally I am very opposed to guys who fail drug tests at the combine, but after seeing interviews of him, I don't think I would have a problem taking this guy.

He seems knowledgeable of the game, and I don't think he would let the ganja affect his play on the field.

I don't know, with Mike Adams it seems a little different. Adams is such a passive guy, I question his desire to excel. But I don't have that fear with Gregory I don't think.

I guess my question is what does his college coaches say about him, would they vouch for him, was this Randy's only offense or have there been more in his past?

Every drug has the potential to be addictive.

It's physically addictive to SOME people. My oldest brother, for instance.

Seriously. Shopping can be addictive, and you don't even put anything inside your body for that. Of course pot can be addictive. It's not meth, but it's a drug. This coming from someone who thinks it should be legalized, by the way. :smiley1:

    Yep.

The line between 'physical' addiction and social/habitual dependence is a very complex one to draw - if its possible to draw at all.

Ah Coastal LOL your an original. But I agree he likes weed better than football. This is a no no.
Give me someone who is dedicated to their profession and has a passion to play football. and works to improve himself.

Gotcha. Weed is probably less harder on your system than alcohol. And there's no problem with everyone who has to have "their morning coffee". Everything can be an addiction whether physical or behavorial. Really its just a sentiment on what "drugs" are socially acceptable or not.

Because it is behavorial, but will lead to physical changes in the brain with long term use. Just like everything else, its a dual edged sword.
