Never understood tatoos, I just don't get the appeal. My wife got one (her first) on her 50th B'day. I didn't get that, but it's what she wanted.

I see attractive young women all the time w/ tats, I don't see how they think they make them more attractive. But I'm an old fart, and they aren't trying to attract me.

But, hey, if you want them, like them, that is your business, Fine w/ me. But for goodness sake, spend the extra few $$ and get some decent art work.

I have 7 tats noone of which can be seen at work. Mine all have a meaning to me in one way or another.

Me too. But I think if you are going to get one, it should be ONLY one and it should be unique and classy.

That tattoo is hilarious. No way he went to a parlor for that. Probably just one of his friends with some tools.

 

This is one of those, either you agree or you don`t... type of things.
Personally, I have learned my lessons, over the years, and whenever I can afford to, I WILL have quality ink on my body.
As with most things in life, you get what you pay for, and if you are gonna have it on your body for the rest of your life...
Pay the money, and get a good one!!!
Right now, I only have 2.
One, is a faded, old india ink-type deal over my heart, of the Steelers logo, that was done with a homemade gun, for free, when I was 13. (Mom woulda killed me, if she knew I had it before I was 18!!!)
I still love that one, just because it shows how long I`ve been a fan(Turned 40 this year, and loved `em since I was about 6 or 7)... Can`t call me a "bandwagoner"...
When I do have money to spend on a good one, I am still debating about going over it, and fixing it up, or leaving it as is... I`m leaning towards leaving it as is... Maybe Modifying it, after I get some other ones I`ve wanted for a long time.
My other one is on my upper arm, based on the "And Justice For All" Album cover, by Metallica, but, again, it was done by a drunk at a party, and I have always regretted, not waiting to get it done right, by a professional.
It`s not bad, but it could, and should have been done much better!!!
As for girls getting tattoo`s... Yeah... Less is more...
They can be sexy, but, IMHO, smaller, discreetley placed ones are much better, than "Tramp Stamps", or a girl with ink all over her body...
Although, I did have the pleasure of meeting a girl once, with a LARGE, well done, Butterfly, covering her back, with nice color, and detail, placed so that the wings fit her shoulderblades perfectly as she "danced"... You never would have guessed she had that, if you saw her with her shirt on... Damn, I wish I could remember her name...

 

I have only 1 tatoo. It is on my Johnson and it says “shorty” But when I get excited it says

That said on females, less is more. When I see nice legs and then there is a big bold tat on the calf, it really detracts, imo.

 

It was ment to make people laugh. I really got one tattoo. A Marine Corps Emblem on my left forearm

 

I like my women with as little on there body as possible period.

I'm not a tat guy, I came in this world w/o one and I plan on going out the same way.

I am not a tat guy either ,currently have none ,but do plan on one as soon as #4 is born(4 weeks to go) ..It will be of my kids names on my left pec,close to my heart

 

I have 1 tat and a pic is posted here on this board somewhere. Its the Steelers logo on my left shoulder. The 6 winning SuperBowls are listed, vertically, in roman numerals under it. I still have room to put about 3 more titles on this arm.
