    Maybe yes, maybe no. As strange as this sounds, the Raiders are currently (and I stress "currently") our top competition for the #6 seed. Too early to tell which result best helps us, really. If the Raiders upset us in two weeks, then them beating the Jets this week wouldn't be a good outcome for us.

    I dont get too wrapped up into this what if stuff. Go out there and play and come the end of the season we know where we stand. If we take care of things on our end then we will be fine. If we have to start depending on others to lose then we dont need to be there in the first place.

    Oh, come ON. It's way too early to play out these scenarios.....besides it's OBVIOUS we want the Raiders to win.....because.....

    We'll be the eventual 5 seed, Jets the 6....
    Our first playoff game will be a win against the crappy winner of the AFC South, and the Jets will beat Denver
    Then, we will go on to beat Cincy (2), and the Jets will once again beat their arch-nemesis, the Patriots.....

    Then, we'll host the AFC Championship game on the way to SB #7......

    .....or something like that.....

    The OBVIOUS flaw in your logic is that Sunday we take the first step toward securing the division, and putting the Bengals on the road for the first week of the playoffs. But... As you said, too early to play out these scenarios.
