...Ben moving to WR or something? I don't know, something just doesn't feel right about it. Pouncey is an All-Pro center and he anchors the line from the middle of the line. I get why they're doing it, because Legs plays center much better than he does guard, but I'm not sure that moving Pouncey is the best thing for the line. It just doesn't sit well with me for some reason. It's almost like Pouncey is being penalized because of Legs inability to play guard.

I think you do what you have to do to get your healthiest and best guys on the field. From watching Legs does play center better than guard, I think they are super scared that Legs is going to get lit up by Ngata and want Pouncey on him more. I'm more worried with Kruger myself, he was tearing it up against Adams, and I'm sure it will be more of the same against Beachem.

But, I don't think he is getting pentalized by having to play guard.

Jeff Harting was also a guard with Detriot and he changed to center when he came to the Steelers. So, I think it's a lot less change going from center to guard as oppose to guard to center. They were two postions that I played in high school, I played center mostly, which I think is the more difficult of the two, mainly due to snapping reading/calling out blitzes. I liked playing guard, and always wish they would call a trap play, nothing was more fun than coming around, and hitting the trap guy who though he was going to make a play. I just loved that. Favorite high school memory was when the two guards we had, one thought the coach called 36 trap and the other thought he said 35 trap, and the both pulled hard and smacked into each other and both ended up on the ground. I always said to myself after that play, this is why they have you play center, because these two can't even get the play right.

But, enough day dreaming of the old days. Don't worry about Pouncey he will play guard and fine and we be back at center soon. But, this comes down to if colon will play or not too.

Nope seems like the right move. It is a a team sport and you have to be willing to do what ever it takes to help the team win. It is not like he is going from Center to defense end or defensive tackle. He is moving over one spot on the line. He has the athletic ability to excel at the position and put the team in better shape to win the game and be successful running the football so it is a good move in my book. It shouldnt be looked as as a permanent move or even a punishment but rather doing what is best for the team in a way that really helps.

they are pro linemen. moving is not as big of deal as you think. sure there are some technique differences, but these guys see whats being taught every day at the other positions. they have to they are part of it. it's not like center is the only spot the guy has every played.

we have to start being able to run outside. our guards are the reason why we don't. that has cut our playbook down. i can't wait until DD gets on the other side. i have already said we need a better G/C draft pick. i like legs but he limits us. we should not be done adding to this line yet. LT,LG still need upgraded.

i've watched a little of the new G from Cal. on the PS. he's got some game too. i'm rooting for beachum too. he actually didn't do to bad last week.

I like Legursky at center. He has always been solid at "C" and has proven he is a NFL starter at Center. Problem for him is Pouncey is better. If Pouncey can play OG well enough then that gives us the ability to move either Foster or Colon to OT when needed.

I don't see it happening...it was more "if it needs to happen" you get them prepared.

As I have stated way too many times, we must get athletic in the OL positions.
I am tired of the Steelers bringing in 6'7 6'8 guys that can't move.
I am tired of seeing out of shape slobs with there belly hanging over thier belt.
until we get more ATHLETIC, it will be the same old OL the Steelers have been
throwing out at us for years. Legursky is not a starter in the NFL, he is a liability
our LT and RT right now are liabilities. Watch when we get against talented pass rushers
we struggle, the Steelers have invested heavily in the OL to no avail. Now, we have
some promise in DD and Pouncey but we have to get better in pass blocking or
we will never be able to use our weapons as intended.

I hope whoever is the QB doesnt line up behind the wrong center. We can probably run some crazy formations, unbalanced lines and some sick fumble-rooskies.lol
