Compared to Tony Romo. Yet once again not once did any of them say he has a below average arm.

From Lance Zierlin's official report on nfl.com:

    Strengths
    • Broke Dan Marino's Pitt passing records.
    • Comes from athletic family and bloodlines.
    • Has good size and all the physical tools needed as a pro.
    • Jaw-dropping improvement across the board from 2020.
    • TD-INT ratio went from 13:9 in 2020 to 42:7 in 2021.
    • Passing scheme required full-field reads.
    • Good recognition and decisions on combo-route throws to all levels.
    • Potential to get better at recalibrating reads with more work.
    • Worked with improved anticipation and tight spiral throwing into windows.
    • Velocity to stay ahead of closing coverage.
    • Arm strength to push deep outs without a problem.
    • Able to extend the play and win on the move with his arm.
    • Arm talent to make off-platform throws.
    • Elusiveness to escape a free runner and scramble for yards.

Quite a few throws over 40 yards, his arm is good enough.

Brady, Montana, Drew Brees, Payton Manning, and K. Warner off the top of My head had finesse type throws with timing, and accuracy. Not a one of those had big strong cannons. Yet all did pretty well. Oh another.. A. Smith.

I couldn't make it through the whole thing, but he used the words "borderline gunslinger". You don't call a noodle arm that.

Tony Romo didn't have a great arm so what is that saying? And so by your logic if someone says someone isn't fast, that doesn't mean they're slow since they didn't specifically sat "he's slow".

According to you because someone didn't specifically say something that doesn't mean they are that. So if you dont specifcally call someone slow does that mean they arent sloe since because no one soecifcally sai dpickett arm was below average it means hes not. That's like saying baker ain't a bust because no one credible has outright said that. He's a one of only 3 first overall picks to not make it to year 4 with his team, can't find anyone who wants to give up even a 5th for him, and the browns openly and publicly told him they were looking for a replacement. If that ain't a bust what was that? Someone doesn't have to

Kenny Stabler had an average to below average arm. Neither Manning had big arms. Actually, neither did Joe Montana or Drew Brees. It's rare for fireballers like Bradshaw and Elway to be successful because they trust their natural fast ball will bail them out. One of the reasons why both Bradshaw and Favre had so many interceptions. A QB with accuracy, a quick release and average arm strength will win a lot of football games, all else being equal. Arm strength is over rated. What good did being able to throw a football 60 yards from his knees do for Jamarcus Russell?

I saw a lot of Pickett. I was against taking a QB, but I think they got the best one from this draft. I don't see him breaking Ben's records, but I think the guy can have a good, solid career, maybe something along the lines of Philip Rivers with more mobility. I'd be very satisfied with that. Only time will tell.

Good lord kid. You still have yet to come up with one legitimate source that says he’s got below average arm strength. It’s not there. It’s not true. Give it up.

He's got his own imagination. That's about it, because he admits that he hasn't even watched Pickett play.

Sort of reminds me of the line in the Dirty Dozen where Donald Sutherland is pretending to be a general.

I bet he would rank Herbert much higher after watching for a year, its always easy to look like a genius when you review what you just saw after the fact.

I don't think you can throw for 4300 yds 42 td's and only 7 picks if you have a weak arm, maybe its not a cannon but you don't have to throw it 65 yds to throw it deep. Just throw it sooner!

DEMARCUS RUSSEL had a huge cannon of an arm a howitzer how did that work out, he is probably available.

Lots of other positions get to add strength and technique when they get to the pros. Why can't a QB develop more arm strength or better velocity as they get some more training? For QBs it seems to be the belief that physically they are done developing.
