I mix garlic ginger and Kung Pao peppers with peanut oil cook and strain and use it for stir fry

And since I have to much garlic I chop it and mix with olive oil and freeze it then I can use it for a long time

I have a local spice company that makes fresh stuff very cheap

In general I don’t make anything that someone else can make better

This is the first time I’ve tried it but since it’s packed in oil the flavor should not change

I used some this week from July and so far so good

I have fresh still in cold storage downstairs that will start to dry out so I’m going to chop half of it up and try again

Maybe I can stretch it until July when the next batch shows up

I read you can freeze it in an ice cube tray then dump it into a plastic bag but I was afraid it would freezer burn still

I put mine in an old cottage cheese container and chisel out what I need with a fork

You know I do grease from meat that way....in a ice cube tray, and freeze it, then store in baggies in the freezer, and later when mixing food for the dogs....I will heat up some, and drop some of those frozen meat drippings into their food after I've heated them up. I label them for the kind of meat....like bacon, steak, chicken, and so on.

This is 3 months old and I’m using it today the tub was full to start

    Looks and smells great

After I get back from vacation I’m going to take the rest of what I have in my storage area and chop and pack it in olive oil

That should get me to the next crop in july

Nice! I should probably put them in containers. As I've said before, Santee's soil is uniquely suited to growing rocks! Lot of decomposed granite and clay.
