You people clamoring for Fields make me laugh. The guy is an athlete playing the QB position. Our offense was atrocious when he was playing.

 

No, but a different QB won't fix what's broke.

No on Wilson, never wanted him. I’m still a sucker for Fields’s potential. I would resign him for a year or two and see if there is any improvement. There are really no other choices.

 

He's never happier than trying to win 9-6, he can't keep pace with a fast evolving game, he struggles keeping up with a 17-14 game.

He has to be proven right, so throw away ther gameplan that worked for that one he wants to win with to show he's right...

 

and our offense is atrocious now, .. Fields didn't get enough playing time in this system Imo . If Tomlin wasn't so enamored with Wilson he wouldn't be starting . Wilson has gotten worse each week for the past few weeks

 

I'm not sure that same gameplan would've worked against the Bengals last night, the pass protection wasn't good enough and Pickens killed them with his drops.

 

I know toss plays ahevn't worked all season but they keep calling them

 

I'd like to have the all-22 video to see exactly why that toss never works. Is it always the same breakdowns? Are they tipping their hand somehow? Is the blocking sceme crap? You would think it would work once in awhile.

 

Fields had 10 TD's , 5 passing and 5 rushing, and only threw 1 interception in his 6 games and we won 4 of them.

Yea same coaches that think Russ is it. What a brain trust you got there. They run the most basic offense and defense that has been around since the 70’s. Yep that’s who I would listen to about who is it and who isn’t. Russ is a bum. Denver ate 68 mil in dead cap space and paid 48 mil in salary to get him out of the building and draft a rookie qb who wasn’t the number one pick in the draft by any means and Tomlin and crew said yea let’s get Russ those guys don’t k ow talent he will be great with our ten. Yep the Bears are great with first round qbs there track recond is amazing. I will wait for the last even decent Bears qb. So yea sure the development with the bears was top notch in those years they seem to be doing great with the number one pick this year too. So just asking what’s the offense looked like with Russ? Oh yea they score 17 or less in 4 straight games hasn’t happened sine 2003.

 

Letting Weidl go will be one of the biggest mistakes the Rooney's have done since passing on Chris Johnson imo.

Well to me Russ has 1 more chance at least to show if he is worthy of leading our team or not ...I said before ---with the way he is playing ---I would not re-sign him--But now here comes the playoffs ---what is he going to do suck some more or do good ---wait till the season is over then we can make our final decisions on him. But who cares what we say, we don't do the re-signing.

 

Wilson is too old and not good enough to invest money. He doesn't have it anymore. Move on.

Justin Fields is not an NFL QB. The evidence is he can't throw the ball down the field, lacks accuracy, and defenses will stack 10 in the box and crush our run game.

The Steelers need to change the QB room over next season in draft and free agency.

 

I think it was more like, "Let's get a guy who's the dumbest call in history away from being a 2 time SB winner and we won't have to pay hardly anything!"
