Yeah the Steelers are going to absolutely make me try to convince myself they can win with Rudy.

All other things aside which do you think we are better with

    Fields/Wilson & Pickens & Van Johnson

    or

    Mason & Pickens & Metcalf

    Fields/Wilson & Pickens and Jefferson
We will struggle to win 5 games if Rudolph is the starting QB all season.

Out of those two options, Mason with Pickens and Metcalf.

I think overall Rodgers gives them the best chance of winning games.

Logical thinking, but many do not see that. If they sign Aaron the % likely go up in all areas of production, is this just to win a p/o game? We are not going to tank, but what we are talking about is post season suck, regular season kind of suck, or season most likely suck. The money has to be spent to at least a certain level by the CBA, it's the players money, some can be rolled over, how you divide up the pie does not matter. At this point just go with the kind of/most likely suck. Unless there is a high FA still available, use the cash and draft to fill some depth and strategic holes, resign TJ and front a lot of that money in this years CAP, and role with MR. You can pick one of the less than likely QB's this year and maybe get your man, have a boat load of picks next year and if the most likely suck pans out, try again for a QB if needed.

    Nothing fancy, just reality.

Rodgers would is a diva wanting paid. He would be nothing more than a "rental" to try and win a championship and ruin the organization for a few years afterwards. Mason gives the best opportunity to build around the QB. If he benefits and does well, then we have who we need. If we still need to upgrade at QB next year, then the draft could bring in the missing piece. That QB would then be set up for success much the way Ben was his rookie season and beyond.

There was one blurb today saying Aaron was looking for the same type of deal Darnold got, have no idea if true, but at least that's a talking point. Beyond the money, the on field production would most likely be higher, but the other stuff you mentioned just makes me want to puke. Could the old Aaron appear for a season (at least some high production), could our O actually look like it should be in the NFL? Could our D actually stop drives on 3rd and ridicules and putting both O and D together could we win some games giving Boz a rest on Sunday's? All of this could happen, could we actually get magnificent play and find ourselves in a championship game, even a SB?! Could we add a trophy to the case! As I shake my 8 ball waiting for an answer, my aged brain says pass on Aaron and take our lumps for a year. lol

Quit being so pessimistic, there is P/O suck, regular season kind of suck, or regular season most likely suck. In the end we do suck, but be polite about it, lol.

So potentially maybe we could go 11-6 with Mason and 12-5 with Rodgers

They got you to convince yourself it was a good thing they took a quarterback in 2022 even if it wasn't the one you wanted, so they can do be quite convincing.

I'm going through the same thing right now, trying to convince myself 2025 won't be a total disaster with Rudolph at quarterback.

I get on board with everyone in the beginning. They play for the team and going to support them until they give me a reason not to.

I turned on DJ fast after he quit on that play when he walked away from the fumble. Was the biggest DJ supporter here.

Was a big fan of Harris until finally couldnt ignore what I was seeing. Funny thing is I was one of the people discrediting Warren for what he was doing in the beginning until it became too obvious he was better.

Pickett clearly was not my favorite choice but got on board. It’s how I roll as a fan.

Rudolph was tongue in cheek, hes a known commodity, been here for most of his career. I’m not expecting a Baker Mayfield or Sam Darnold transformation but I’ll be rooting for him none the less in hopes that he can.

I will be rooting for him, too, but with my share of doubts.

Actually, you wrote that you wanted one of the four quarterbacks before they took Pickett, which surprised me. I mostly didn't want Willis. lol

I explained that in the other post. It was based on him supposedly being pro ready, only reason he was on there.

    My order was specifically:

    Willis
    Corral
    Howell
    Pickett

We needed a QB and that was supposed to be his strength but he turned out to be far from pro ready.

I have to admit that you were correct about Willis. The light has clicked on for him in Green Bay and he is the best of the 2022 lot.

They could have had Darnold for less than $40 million for this year with an easy out for 2026. Dumbasses.
