Mason was on the worst team in the league I'm not surprised he struggled last season.

He was with the worst team in the league, the worst defense in the league that year and he had Claypool as the number 1 WR for half of the season.I don't think Rudolph would been better in this situation

I never said he would I don't care about Rudolph stats with the Titans they were terrible, Levis the starter wasn't good either which is why they had the number one pick in the draft.

Apples and oranges as Rudolph’s stint during that time was with worst team in nfl. It would be more apples to apple if you looked at his last 5 starts with Steelers. Heck, Mason might even have a higher qb rating over their career than Fields. Fields or Mason are not one would call Franchise Qb but both would be similar stop gap option till one is found.

I would be OK with it if he came here to play fullback.

These analysts are hellbent on tying Tomlin to these running QB’s and he clearly keeps showing that it’s not as high a priority as they like to make it out to be.

I see almost zero chance of this ever happening.

I hope this does not happen.

Anthony Richardson took himself out of a game because he was 'tired'. In the middle of an offensive drive just, 'I'm tired boss'. And went and sat down. I don't know how he still has an NFL job, let alone a shot at being the starter on the Colts. Granted, that story could be absolute BS due to I wasn't there to witness it, but there was much conversation about it on the morning commute radio sports talk show. To me, that's very Jamarcus Russell work ethic.

Playing for Tomlin that would be an instant firing offense. He wouldn't see the field after that. ..er, or maybe he would tell him to try harder next time.

He is the worst starting Qb in the league. Hell I would take Fields over him, and I think Fields isn't very good.

I like how You Fields lovers always leave off fumbles.....
    Mason: 9-8-1, 28 tds passing , 20 ints, 1 rushing td, and 13 fumbles.
Fields: 14-30, 45 tds, passing, 31 ints, 19 tds rushing, and 44 fumbles.
I'd suggest you look again, both played for the Steelers, and both played for horrible teams,of course You go run, and hide as usual.

Marino played in a different ERA. The defenses have long ago moved to something betweeen tackle and touch football. WRs had much tougher with DB clutching and grabbing AND more importantly, there was very little in the way of unnecessary roughness on QBs. Now, you graze them running by, they fall down...flag.

All that said, Rodgers is one of 15 all-time great QBs. Each ERA has to have one on that list (start with Bart Starr, Len Dawson and go from there). Much like baseball hitting ebbed and flowed, 45 HRs leading the league, then the mid 60s when it got bad enough they lowered the mound, 70s hitting spree, then the 80s, when .301 might lead league in hitting and 35 HRs got you the HR crown, etc.

NFL, the same, stats tell part of the story, comparing QBs in different ERAs by straight stats doesn't tell any story or draw any conclusion. I'd say based on the stats provided, they were pretty near equal QBs.
