Yep, sad truth. Notorious for manufacturing talent and shipping it away

This thread makes me feel even older. I remember when men were men, pitchers went 9 innings and running backs could handle 40 carries.

Blame owners and coaches/managers protecting their investments. Ive never known a starting pitcher to want to come out of a game.

And cut my carries in half coach, they're hurting me out there, said no RB ever.

Man it would be hard to imagine guys going 9 with the heat they're throwing today. Although when Sandy Koufax retired and he talked about all the stuff he had to be able to do just to pitch one single game I could totally understand why he'd want to hang it up.

Naw, they should trade him for a pack of Luckys. Unfiltered....

I would give him a 3 year contract. after 7 years of wear and tear let someone else overpay for him and we can use the compensatory draft pick.

I fondly remember Bert Blyleven complaining about being taken out.

we definitely keep Bell no question. We should incorporate Williams into the game more though. I think they should open up the playbook and line Williams in the backfield and Bell in WR. Make the opposing defense keep guessing every so often. Especially when we were down WR I dont see why we didnt do this in the playoffs. Just my opinion tho

Bell is like a 2 in 1 shampoo and body wash, he's a mixed wide receiver and running back. His patience and ability is phenomenal. If the Steelers let go of Bell, you could just throw away our Super Bowl chances.

Even then, how many healthy seasons did Ben have?

Bell is the key to this team on offense. i know the rb position has been devalued over the last few seasons, but a rb like Bell doesnt come along all the time. hes a special player and the Steelers would be fools to let him go.
