at least we can get spence up to speed a little quicker since he generally knows the system. i never had trouble with spence and it was a shame what happened to him with the injury. he just wasn't the same after that. we could do much worse and i mean moats on the inside. frankly i'm not sure what moats really brings to the team now.

The only thing Moats brings to the team is strictly off the field functions....he can't play.

No, keep dupree and vince over that side and place TJ on the inside and deebo at his rightful place. TJ is young, fast, and smart enough to move to another position at this point.

I like the idea of moving Watt to ILB and bringing Harrison in. That gives us a better shot to win than Watt/Spence. I feel like Watt could clog up the middle well and they have already dropped him in coverage a lot this year. He was running stride for stride with Jordie Nelson two weeks ago. Only question would be his endurance and if he could last all game.

Didn't Harrison start out with the Steelers as an ILB?

i think fort will be fine with a week of reps. he can cover well and brings that speed to the position. not shazier speed but the next best we have. spence will get some reps too i'm sure.

I doubt Spence does more than provide insurance. The biggest problem is they don't have either of the guys who call the plays on defense as long as Shazier and Mitchell are out. They might have to play Gay at free safety just to have somebody on the field who can handle that role.

I think it would be really difficult to ask Watt to make that switch in season.

i think it is time for gay to play some FS. fort has however been around the whole time butler has been building this hybrid so either he or vince should be able to handle it this week.

VW98 called the defense as a rookie when he subbed in for an injured Larry Foote. I would think he could handle those duties.

Haden seemed to be the communicator for the secondary so when he comes back that will lessen that overall burden too
