The players may not be performing but its like he has given up game planning. Why is Taylor one on one and why aren't you changing anything. he d is old and tired and everybody knows it.

I've said it before and I'll repeat it now. DL has hung on about two years too long.

What have the Lions done in this 2nd half? One of the oldest defenses in the league and somehow it's LeBeau's fault??? Man, some of you on here would be calling for Shula's head if he lost a game!

To be fair to him, the 2nd quarter was an abomination.

But on the other hand... yeah, a tad premature.

i dont play fantasy I watch football and between the first half of this game and the patriots game the steelers gace up roughly a 1000 yards in 6 quarters now if you are happy with that good for you. also throw in 83 points in 6 quarters. 'i know the bills game was in between but DL still confuses rookies.

Seems to have made some good 2nd half adjustments.

    1st, 3rd &4th were solid defense quarters.

    lets not overreact so quickly.

on tv I saw at least two instances where they gave safety help to cover cj

I like/respect DL like everyone else...and yes they played solid after the 2nd qtr...but overall I think its time for some new blood at DC. The biggest issue I have...is its a lot of the same ol' plays/coverages/etc...of course he throws in some new things here or there. But its not often you see teams doing the same plays/etc as much as they do for as long as they have on D. The cushions the DB's give is my biggest gripe of them all...sometimes I can see yes...do the cushions...but playing up...maybe jam the WR/etc and see what happens (shoot the one time they did this today Ike almost got an INT). Win OR lose this is my unfortunate opinion of things at this point.

I'm sure I could go back and pick out 6 quarters that the Steelers gave up little or no points.

I have to agree. So many times the defensive players looked confused out there like they didn't know where to line up or who to cover. And as soon as they snapped the ball Stafford found a wide open receiver.

His biggest problem is that the game has passed him by and he can't make adjustments.

Stone hands Ike could've nullified 10 pts had he caught the damn ball... Good adjustments by Lebeau but really? Ike holds on, we smash by 20!

He made the necessary adjustments in the second half but I'm sure Butler could make those adjustments. He's been around Lebeau long enough. It's time to pass the torch.

It's personnel, not the coach and when the personnel was playing like they are capable of, they did fine today. DL didn't forget how to coach all of a sudden, nonsense.

No doubt the defense looked horrible against the Pats and in the 2nd quarter today..................then held the Lions to 3 points in the 2nd half. Sounds like smart adjustments by a seasoned DC to me.
Ask Jerry Jones if it's a good idea to get rid of your DC after they've had success!

We're taking about overall , 1 half of a game doesn't make up for the same boring garbage. I say it is Lebeaus fault for playing the old players for too long, it's less training work for his old burnt out brain ( they brought Gay back, you think Lebeau had a say in that?) it usually takes a rookie 3 years to crack the lineup, but seeing this team can't wait for that long anymore, now the rookies are getting in there sooner. It's like we're developing players for the other teams since they have the money to sign them away from us.

    Pitts D Ranked 27th in INT's
    28th in sacks
    24th in FF

He's done!! If the new DC was in there maybe no adjustments would've had to be made, commonsense would've been used in the 1st half.

You're preaching to the choir I have been saying this about LeBeau for the last 3 years. They should've got rid of him after Tebow and the Broncos embarrassed the Steelers in the playoffs, LeBeau's defense made Tebow look like Elway that game.
