I disagree. I think Ben Johnson knows it's going to be a shootout. Stafford is going to do what he does. The Bears will have to keep up, and that means taking some risks.
Worst case scenario, they're still down 1 score and the Rams start on their own 2 yard line. I like the call.

Very surprise by the bears defense right now

 

The Bears defense is really getting to Stafford.

 

I guess FG would be better, although punting would have been better than what did happen.

 

Bears DC definitely adjusted and is now sending secondary pressures against Stafford. They can't let him sit back there and pick them apart.

 

I like the coaching chess match and adjustments. It will be great to have a Steelers head coach that isn't an automatic liability.

It also helps to spend over 300 million in free agency like the Patriots did this past offseason.

 

Even if you spend big in free agency, nothing is guaranteed... You have to make the right decisions... Otherwise, the Redskins would have been a dynasty in the 2000s.
