They do, they've been gaming the system every year. This is why I don't think the Steelers will be competitive any time soon. They aren't trying to bend the rules and work things outside the box.

I read that as well. To be reduced from a starter to a 4 team throwaway, to be reclaimed so the team can get a potential comp pick. How low can you go?

Agree, we always seem to be a step behind what Harbaugh is doing in Baltimore.

Take Challenges, When Harbaugh was needing help, he hired an Ex-Replay official to sit in the booth during games to be in charge of when to challenge or not. Tomlin on the other hand is still watching the Stadium TV when trying to figure out if he should challenge or not. The entire rest of the world has a better look at a play that needs to be challenged than Mike Tomlin has. His excuse of he didn't have a good enough look is like 1950s technology when there was only 1 camera being used.

Funny, looks like the Bills did the same thing this year.

I would love to know if DJ was paid anything for the Playoff game last week.

Obviously, the Ravens only picked him up for the Comp Pick, but did they have to pay him for the Playoff game?

This article makes fun of the DJ pickup.
Ravens Get Last Laugh On Diontae Johnson After Crafty Waiver Claim | OutKick

Last line from article.... "Diontae Johnson is eating humble pie after Baltimore got the last laugh."
But, is DJ eating his Pie all the way to the Bank???

Not going to pretend to know how the comps work, but I wonder if this is the reason why the Steelers signed Skylar Thompson

Does anyone know if DJ is still with the Raiders?

I am still not sure of the contract he signed last year where he wouldn't be allowed back with the team until after the playoffs.

Is he a free agent for 2025?

He is a free agent, he was a waiver claim by the Ravens which was just on paper so if he signs somewhere else this year they get compensatory “credit”.

Apparently just like baseball 5 strikes and you are out

@Brice@Brice do you think the Steelers should sign him

How about the other knucklehead (who’s name I erased from memory) who thought letting him go was a bad idea

Why not try DJ for a 1 year prove it type deal? If they can get a QB who can use his route running abilities to open up the middle of the field DJ could shine.

Right now, Najee would be the Steelers #1 RB for only $6 million. Not the $5 - $9 million he signed for. Surprised the Steelers have not signed a new #1 RB yet.
