I think it's more of a money thing, maybe they have no intentions of re-signing him after the season, and they're ready to move on.

The Broncos just traded former 1st round pick Jerry Jeudy to Cleveland for a 5th and 6th round pick.

Saves Denver $13 million, Jeudy was on his guaranteed 5th year option year. I didn't think Cleveland had the money to invest another $13 million in their WR room.

After the last 2 years this would put DJ's trade value a 6th or 7th?

it would work for everyone involved. Only downside is how thin our WR room would be.

 

I think Jeudy is in the same category as Claypool. Lots of potential but unreliable and a headcase.

His back and forth with Steve Smith last year really didnt do himself any favors.

I don't think the Steelers would have cut Robinson if they planned on trading away DJ. Without DJ they have Pickens and a Punt return guy in Austin. Not sure if Arthur Smith and any QB can work with that WR room.

 

Where were the Steelers when the Broncos were shopping Jeudy for a 5th and a 6th. Isn't the Broncos WR Coach now on Pittsburgh's payroll?
