Burress's best statistical season wasn't with Roethlisberger or Manning. It was with Tommy Maddox.

 

Since I wrote the question, how in the heck did it seem like a backdoor bash? I personally think he's very underrated and has by far the greatest throw in SB history. The helmet catch and the completely routine throw and catch from Montana... Every time that list comes up I gotta by a freaking new TV

 

He only played one Year with Roethlisberger. Ben's rookie year. So not even a whole season.

 

Even at that it was a magical season when you go back and look at it. Kinda of like that Troy video I posted, we forget the great because the bad stands out near the end.

 

I can agree with that.

 

And that led to one of the top blunders in the last 30 years of the franchise, a forgetting of who they were. The following season it was the Tommy Gun offense and teams shut it down because they weren't afraid of Bettis running them over. There's a question I'd like to ask Cowher, why did you go along with changing who you were?

 

Let's not forget Wallace turning down Steeler money and them turning around and giving it to AB.
