I only saw it on video, but it was still a visceral reaction. To see it in person, I imagine that it was probably an emotional moment for some fans.

Not trying to hijack your thread but watching the video of my old navy ship getting sunk made me need therapy. I needed therapy, but never went. This might explain why I'm so (expletive deleted) up?

I also watched on TV, had so many good times there. It was heart wrenching. But time moves on.

we actually have better seats now and usually have the same people around us most of the time. we had lower level seats at 3 rivers but couldn't see one small corner of the end zone. that was the only bad part.

if you would quit forgetting where your seat is when you go to the rest room, that may help this problem. :smiley1::cool:

I’ll admit with a few beers I have occasionally came back and walked down the wrong section

I suspect as I get old (er) this will be more common

Not so much concerned with games but rather I live in the middle of nowhere

I’m guessing I’m good for another 20-30 years

Saw it on TV. I don't know why, but I was more bummed about the Civic Arena demolition. That said, I've been to many games at both stadiums and the atmosphere and noise at Three Rivers just seemed rowdier in my opinion. Maybe it is because I was younger at TRS and was fully part of the drunken revelry.

My brother videotaped it from Mt Washington area.

I've been to TRS lots of times and also Heinz Field. Nothing rocked more than TRS. Here's a list of concerts I saw there along with tons of Steelers and Pirates game.
    Genesis
    Pink Floyd
    Rolling Stones
    Grateful dead

All of those don't compare to needing a stop on 3rd down in the 4th quarter of a very close game.:dfense:

Sorry to break it to you JEH - same people next to you still - you're just getting old - those things happen. Hope you enjoyed hiding your own Easter eggs this year. I sure did, even more than the grand kids. :lolol:

If only Bruce Dern and company could have reassembled 24 years later for Black Sunday II, then we'd be talking. That video is awesome. Never got to go there - left the Burgh when it was still Forbes Field and Pitt Stadium and then returned for the inaugural season at PNC and Heinz Field for games on the same day in 2001. :thumbs up:

I hope you believe me when I say it's all in love.
There are plenty of reasons why we're all a little ****ed up.

From what I gather of fans and athletes, good riddance.
I was a cool place but made at a time that was terrible. I've been on that and other turfs. They are the worst!
Like WWE in your parents basement at full speed bad.
    Ouch!

Loved TRS but seemed to always be there when the Pirates lost a Playoff game. (yes, young people the Pirates use to be a major league team)

I was at the last game there against the Redskins when they trotted out all the old players after the game to take a lap around the stadium. Magical. When the confetti hit, there were grown a$$ men bawling like babies. Just so happened we had front row seats right behind the Redskins bench. I b!tched the whole time about the view until the end of the game and I realized I would be able to shake all the players hands.

Andre Hastings did it in 1995 against the Oilers in the 2nd game. 72 yards to the house. Win 34-17

I was at the opening game with my son against the Lions when we lost Woodson (knee) and O'Donnell (broken pinky throwing hand) Barry Sanders juked Woodson when he was attempting a tackle and he tore his ACL. Win 23-20.

The year we lost to the Cryboys in the Super Bowl.
