Pretty awesome and fitting. Lebeau is my favorite defensive coordinator of all time. Zone blitz scheme based on the element of surprise.

His ace wild card in all the schemes...

Troy Polamalu.. imo one of the most dynamic safeties to play all time.

Never seen an assistant coach so well liked by his players as coach Lebeau

All you hear is good things about the guy they look at him as a father figure.

 

Very fitting and a tribute to DL from TP, one of the best ever to play for the Steeler. Bravo all around!

 

I wish Troy had picked me to present him but I guess DL was a good 2nd choice.

Its probably the 1st time I seriously dislike people talking or writing on football boards....when they were calling for his Head (D. Le Beau).
2 some everything was his fault..
It didn't matter that on the D we were the least talented that I can remember us being.

 

It's the same with head coaches. Cowher was criticized because he couldn't win the big one, even with great players. Steeler fans were livid when he lost numerous AFCCGs AT HOME!

Likewise fans wanted Noll gone. As revered as he is now, the mantra was "the game passed him by".

After Tomlin retires I can guarantee you we'll be talking about how great he was. But until then we'll continue to post "fire Tomlin". That's just how us Steeler fans roll.

 

Three 1st round picks on the 2005 SB D (Snack, Troy, Farrior), four on the 2008 D (same three + Timmons).

Butler needs at least 9 to field a D that's not a sieve.
