And all signs point to he will be .

    #1 Experience.
    #2 Camp reports
    #3 Pure Speed
#4 Coaching ability on the field
    #5 Great run blocking ability
    #6 A new OC

Oh and did I mention speed? Rules are changing even more new rules this year so advantage Offense and extra advantage Offensive speed . Back to basic Football get the ball in the hands of the guy no one can catch. Rules say you can't blow him up so use that Speed. I am a firm believer the new OC understands and will use this.As he should.

I'm not going to do this with you another year. You've been proven wrong year after year. Think and believe your own fairy tales if you want.

DHB had Zero touchdowns in 2017... makes me worry a bit. Needs to prove his hands are ready for Ben's pigskin bullets & hold on to the ball.

I’m still confused on how the coaches aren’t properly using a receiver who can’t reliably catch the ball?

Any receiver that catches with his body is not a good receiver. I give you his speed, blocking ability, and good teammate, but good receiver, nah.

Ben said he's excited about hunter and when Ben is excited about a receiver he will get looks from Ben. They said he has caught some deep balls plus wanting to use him in the red zone. He's got 3 TDs in the first week. We will see if that is expanded this week. He looked good in shorts but the buzz this year is he's carried that over into pads too. We really need him to take that 3rd to 4th spot and run with it. I see Washington's use coming more between the 20s this year when he gets his shots. This 3-4 WR role will be more critical than most think. JH gives more future than DHB moving forward.

DHB number 2? Come on man

If Washington is too raw I would think both Hunter and if healthy Rogers get looks over him. Guy can’t catch enough said.

He should have been the starting Safety over Mike that's for sure. DHB has showed much better hands since joining our Team. I contend Haley forced playing time to his young toys like Wheaton, Bryant the new OC might be a win now guy and DHB might be just the right fit.

Actually...one would assume that would be down to one...As I would consider Washington a starter...For 1 of those 2

It's just how he is. Maybe it's all the years of an undisciplined, sloppy-coached team getting to him. :lolol:

You said something similar about Haley and how Redman would average 5,6,7 yards a carry with him.

I don't get all the attention given to a 4th-5th WR, at best. Yea, he's fast...and his hands are terrible.

If you leave him completely uncovered, he will still drop half of every pass thrown to him.

As I said we need him to take that 3rd or 4th spot. Washington will play but he is a rookie for now. Hunter they are talking about red zone size and jumping ability. Add speed to that and he should help out. That's what Ben and MT are talking about. Hunter had 3 TDs as of the other day in camp so Ben is looking his way. You know if Ben gets confident in a guy the throws will continue. We need that 4th option and he should have his chance this year.

Simply not true. If you leave him wide open he will go deep .How many deep balls has he dropped in his career ? https://www.foxsports.com/nfl/pittsburgh-steelers-team-stats?season=2017&week=0&category=RECEIVING no drops in 17.https://www.foxsports.com/nfl/pitts...ECEIVING&opp=0&sort=2&qualified=0&sortOrder=0 1 drop in 16https://www.foxsports.com/nfl/pittsburgh-steelers-team-stats?season=2015&week=100&category=RECEIVING&opp=0&sort=2&qualified=0&sortOrder=0 no drops 2014 1 drop so to say he will drop half his passes is simply not true.

He has been much better since joining the Team, and as I stated he is catching the ball in camp this year as well. He is getting a lot of work and I think Coach T and the new OC intend to use DHB a lot more this season .
