Pete Carroll was close to that(if you remove the first 2 years when Seattle was in a rebuilding mode) and I don't think the seahawks decision after 2023 would change if Seattle would been 9-8 in 2021

Good try, but wrong. He has had many losing seasons.

Close to that is not that. We were close to another SB in 2016/17, but we didn't get one. Close to that means nothing. He had 3 losing seasons with the Seahawks at the beginning, and the end.

Tomlin has had many average seasons with quick playoff exits. I admit.... I'd rather have the occasional losing season and get a "Ben Roethlisberger" or "Terry Bradshaw" than wallow in mediocrity for an entire decade.

How is that working out for the Jets and Raiders they suck every year, yet they still don't have a franchise QB .

It's funny the people that say that are the biggest complainers when we lose. So I call bullcrap. Thinking a 4-13 season would be fine to people that haven't seen a losing record in 21 years.
Thing is people think that will solve the problem, and never guess how easy You can become the Jets, Giants, and so on. You think after the Giants fired Tom Coughlin they thought they would have 10 seasons of losing .
No they thought. We are the Giants, give us a few years , and we will be back.

Well... Giants do have a good core of young players on offense in Dart, Nabors and Skattebo. So, if they can shore up OL and defense with a new HC... they can bounce back pretty quick. Look how fast Texans, Bears, Patriots, Broncos, Commanders (in '24) and Jaguars turned it around. Seahawks went from average like Steelers to top team in NFC in one year.

Right now the Steelers could technically play any of the 6 other playoff teams in Rd 1. Pretty crazy with only 2 weeks left.

    Buffalo
    Chargers
    Houston
    New England
    Jacksonville
    Denver

From the least team I want to face to the team Id most want to play. I think all 3 of the current wild card teams are better than the top 3.

Thanks ,but no thanks. I don't want 10 years of losing seasons just so maybe we get good again, and we don't know how good any of those teams are yet.

I'm going to disagree with your definition of "turned it around".
For 4 out of the 6 teams you listed, this is their first winning season after multiple bad years.
A single good year is not turning it around. My definition would be at least 2 consecutive good seasons, preferably more.
That's what makes the Browns the Browns. They can have single winning seasons (2007, 2020, 2023), but in the 27 years since the team was resurrected, they have failed to put together 2 winning seasons in a row.

As far as "how fast" those teams "turned it around", let's list them:
    • Texans - They have turned it around (this is their 3rd 10+ win season), but that was after 3 years at the bottom of the league (2020-2022). So not that fast.
    • Bears - One good season. Their last winning season was 2018, so again, not fast and not long enough to tell if they really turned it around.
    • Patriots - One good season against a weaker schedule after 3 losing seasons (4 wins the last 2 seasons). Not fast and not proof of turn around.
    • Broncos - Turned it around (2nd 10+ win season), but after 7 losing seasons, so not fast.
    • Commanders - In the last 10 years, they've had 1 winning season, 1 tied season, and 8 losing seasons. Not fast and not proof of turn around.
    • Jaguars - Not fast (losing seasons from 2018-2021 to stockpile talent), and not clear if they are turned around. They put together 9-8 seasons in 2022 and 2023, but still managed to go 4-13 last year.
