I think these 2 teams are the future. Saying that, Detroit can make some noise this year. I think the jags are for real next season.
    Thoughts…

If Trevor Lawrence keeps on playing like he has been, then Jacksonville has a legit QB. I’m not a believer in Goff.

Only time will tell. Usually teams that have been bad for a while stay bad. They occasionally have a flash in the pan season, but revert back to their old ways. Then ownership decides to fire the coaching staff and a rebuild starts anew.

Jacksonville was supposed to be over that hump the Year they beat us, and barely lost to NE in the playoffs, and got worse every year after that.
Now I do think the Prince that was Promised Trevor Lawrence is the real thing, but that only means He has a leg up. He must progress every year...because the teams He faces will progress on trying to stop Him. This, and How does a Qb do when they must carry a team ( because they consume the most cap) is why I don't crown Qbs as Quickly as most.

When Burrow and then Lawrence came to the AFC I was PO'd. AFC has the better QB's IMO and that is not good for our Steelers. Burrow I was right on about being trouble. Not sold on Lawrence yet.

Well the Jags took a step forward today by beating the Jets and our tied for first place I think.

Never gave up on Trevor Lawrence. One off season by possibly the worst Head Coach in the History of the NFL was not going to sway me either. Now, I am still not a Doug Pederson fan but he is the right type of Coach for Trevor as Pederson has had success with Qbs like Nick Foles and Carson Wentz; the former winning NFL MVP and the latter being ridiculous during his early years with the Eagles.

Trevor has officially arrived in my opinion. Now it is up to Trent Baalke to not mess it up to cataclysmic proportions in the same vein he did with the San Francisco 49ers. I hope he does not mess this up but I have quite the worrying concern that he will.
