After having several things break on me all at once in the past month and a half I'm celebrating my measly check this week that will carry me over to my other measly check that will come in 2 weeks and 1 day. But, I'm sure the new IR$ agents will be knocking on my door in 2023 wanting to know how I could afford to go out camping and whether I paid taxes on that site B-17 in the middle of the woods for 3 nights.

Browns were already backsliding before the Mayfield saga and Watson acquisition. Now this.

I wonder what happened with them. Seemed like a change of culture, doing smart things starting several years back, now they are the same old Browns again with management being stupid.

I think this move by the browns will go down in NFL history as one of the worst ever made by a team. I understand the guy was good at times but he was never a lights out player. Maybe I missed something but this team has a history of stupid choices and this one might top the list very quickly

 

The NFLPA didn't have to agree to anything. The NFL should have had the testicular fortitude to shove a legitimate punishment down Watson's throat, but they want this to go away before the season starts.

 

See, this is the part where I think some Steelers' fans are kidding themselves. Watson really was a lights-out player, as you put it. I doubt he will be at that level even when he returns this season, not after such a long layoff, but the Browns will get a damn good quarterback out of this in 2023.

 

If the Browns are not competitive by week 12, I wouldn’t even play him. Already rusty, he’s going to be a head case the way fans will treat him this year
