A sprained knee typically requires a few weeks to a few months of rest, depending on the severity of the sprain. Minor sprains may heal in a few weeks, while more severe sprains can take several months.

 

I will need a consultation with Dr Brice but I’m guessing since he was able and allowed to walk back on the field unattended he would seem to be on the lower end of the sprain grades
