Derek Moye Released, Shaq Richardson To PS/IR

    Don't shoot the messenger, but the Steelers have released Derek Moye from the practice squad. They have also placed CB Shaq Richardson on the practice squad IR. DE Ethan Hemer, DB Jordan Sullen & OL Adam Gettis have been signed to the practice squad.

    What is Shaqs injury? I thought he might have gotten some playing time in the second half of the season.

    As for Moye, not surprised, thanks for the hustle and effort :thumbs_up:

    This shocks me, always thought Moye could help in the red zone. Another possible bad talent evaluation. Get rid of some one who could help, and go get players like Cam Thomas and Mitchell, pay big bucks for Cortez Allen, and Worilds, draft guys like Adams and Gilbert in the second round!

    Sorry but the arrow is pointing down not up. It's going to take a while to fix this ship. :facepalm:

    Not much is lost there with Moye...unfortunate for Shaq though.

    Yeah, I'm a little surprised at the angst over the loss of Moye. Since the first week or two of last season, the guy hasn't played. He was even beat out by JB for a roster spot this year. His release doesn't phase me at all.

    I won't say Moye was a bust but was expecting much more! More playing time may have been in order. :shrug:

    I don't think Moye showed anything to suggest he would be great in the red zone. Bryant is the big potential there.

    I've always been impressed by Moye as a player who made up for what he lacked in ability with heart and determination. So it's a shame to see him go. It was unlikely he was going to be around for long given JBs development, though.

    Ok, so my first post in this thread was in jest. But are people really upset about this? It's a minor roster move on the practice squad... happens all the time throughout the season.

    DUDE WHAT IS YOUR DEAL TTF??? WHY IN THE CRAP DID THIS HAPPEN??? Oh wait.... you said DON'T shoot the messenger. LOL. I hate to hear that about Moye but I guess he just couldn't block and wasn't enough of a ST guy to warrant a spot. I would love to have a big target for Ben. I think that's what I'm gonna ask Santa for this year.
