I have not been paying as close attention as other years but just got Madden 21 and want to setup the roster.

RB I assume until Connor is hurt week 2/3 he will start. Is Snell the main backup? Also will this McFarland kid be the third down back or will it be Samuels?

WR I assume is JuJu and James outside with DJ inside and a little mix of Claypool in 4 WR sets or maybe some specific goal line type packages.

What’s the deal with 1TE sets? Will it be Ebron or Glass Macdonald? Obviously they are both out there in two TE sets.

O Line is Wisenowski the other guard? Feiler will be RT I assume.

DT will it be Wormly or Mcculers?

Vance or Ulysses at the other ILB?

Hilton is probably still the Nickel will Sutton be the Dime?

I think everything else is pretty set.

    Thanks guys

for the runners, I think Samuels is the 3rd down back due to his receiving prowess... McFarland will get his fair share of carries as a backup... he's too explosive to leave on the bench... for now Connor and Snell will be 1 and 2
you hit it right on the nail with the wr's
Macdonald will start, but Ebron will get an equal snap count..... don't count out Samuels at the position in some other packages as well
Feiler is the LG with Banner or Chuks at RT (my guess is Banner and chuks is primary backup at both Tackle positions)
McCullers will start for the time being, with Wormly and alualu receiving equal snaps to throw off blocking schemes
Vince williams starts now but Gilbert will be there soon
Hilton and Sutton will flip flop depending on matchups

How's the game going? I have been reading that it is a disappointment more like a 60 dollar roster update and that EA is again pushing the Madden Ultimate Team and microtransactions while letting gameplay suffer. So a video of a glitch where on kickoffs you run straight into the pile get bounced around a few times then continue for a 98 yard td. I have EA pass on my Xbox but have been having trouble with my EA and Xbox live account syncing so I can't get my ten hours of free trial. I was thinking of just buying it outright until I read these bad reviews. I usually play franchise mode exclusively and 60 bucks for that isn't worth it.

It’s the first time I have had the game in many years so for me it’s pretty cool. Not as good as NHL though

I genuinely don’t understand the MUT and micro transactions side of the game. To me, an NFL sim game is about franchise mode. But year after year they do really odd things with it.
Like in the current version I have (18), other teams wil give you first round draft picks for your reserves. You can end up with ten first round picks easily.

There was a time that I would buy that game year after year but I've lost interest and the last one I bought was 17. I find myself agreeing with the naysayers in that letting EA have an exclusive contract to make NFL games is not a good idea.

They put zero effort into franchise mode these days which is one of the biggest complaints. I remember back in the day I would play the Steelers and control the franchise for the next 30 years. I would turn off the cap, hand out insane contracts that put the franchise like a billion in debt lol but the game didn't care. That and there were cheat sheets to know which players in the draft would turn out to be great. Oh the number of championships I won. I remember thinking could you imagine if one team kept winning this much in real life? And then, well you know what happened...

EA got worried about the recent negative fan response and said that improvements to franchise mode are in the works. Honestly the MUT stuff must be for a younger crowd because it doesn't appeal to me at all. Just a way to get more money I suppose.

My son had me get this game for the Nintendo switch and after doling out 50 dollars for it it wanted more for online content to play. I almost returned it before discovering that its basically Nintendo's version of Xbox live or the Playstation online. So I got 12 months for the family at 39 dollars.

DJ and JuJu will both split time in the slot as both can play inside and out. DJ is actually better outside than JuJu and JuJu plays better in the slot.

No more Big Dan since your post. I guess Alualu then.
