Well, a few thoughts from me, and I don't matter, but...I said last night the DBs did not jam the WR s at all, and I was told this team plays a zone. Yes, but we beat the Pata with in your face pressure across the line not long ago, but didn't see that game plan yesterday? This is NOT the 70's Steelers, and yes I respect that era, but this is a new league, based on passing, and the NFL has evolved, so what might have worked then may not work in today's NFL? However, aside from a few players ( Troy, Ben, Bell, Brown, Heywrd, and yes Woodley who was near Brady all day!) this team lacks TALENT! Blame whoever you want, KC Tomlin. Haley , or the fact draft picks over the last 5 seasons have been more bust than playmakers, and this is what you get. Add to that we spent a lot of money over the last 10 years, and all those factors have come back to bury us! Truth is, this team just doesn't have the talent, and you can blame any and all coaches, but it is what it is. The Ben haters calling for his head make me LOL, as he is playing behind a line that in so e cases is 2nd-3rd string guys. Love Velsaco, and if he or Pouncey can change positions and we can keep both with Decastro added into that, that will be a great start! You guys think this year is bad, wait til next year as this team is exploded! I'm looking at 10 players who may be gone, and that's a lot to ask of a FO to replace. Haley calls dink and dunk often, but inside the 20 he forgets that philosophy and its throw end zone or nothing? Inside the 20 is where his system should shine, and it doesn't? It's gonna be a rough couple of years, and I will still be onboard forever, but the mutiny has begun.....

I am still one to give Tomlin a little bit of a breathing room. He was brought here as a defensive coach, and has never been bale to put his defensive plan into action. No one was going to tell Dick Lebeau how to run his defence and I believe everyone has universal respect for the man, that noone was ever going to fire him or ask him to leave. With any luck, he will choose to leave on his own after this season and enjoy retirement.

That being said, I can't ever recall any Steelers player ever bad mouthing Mike Tomlin. In that regards, he is a player's coach. Do we risk bringing in someone who is the opposite? Someone like the soon to be fire Greg Schiano? A guy I like, but who is currently winless. But he is a Tough guy with a do-it-my-way approach. Is this what this team needs?

I'm not sure. I give Tomlin until the end of next year to get this team, and specifically, this defence turned around.
