I want a safety with high football IQ, Mitchell blows coverage too often. He bit too hard on the Pats running a flea flicker in the AFCCG, he's the last line of defense he can't let anybody get behind him on that play.

Going to agree and disagree. OL, QB, and WR seem to be getting a lot less love at the top of the draft than usual, but there will be at least 4 qbs taken in the first two rounds, and maybe five. Think Safety is too heavy, and if you don't have one you love by round three, you ain't getting one (Melafawu was a good thought in the fourth or fifth, but he's gone before our second round pick after his Senior Bowl week). ILB will have three or four taken in the top 40 picks, more than usual, but the drop off is big after that.

Ultimately, it benefits us in the first round, assuming we're targeting an edge rusher. After the top two or three, many teams are going to see that they can get a good one in round two, so they'll fill other needs. And there will be three or four o-line and 3 or 4 wrs taken in the first round before us.

Question is, our the priorities of the Steelers fans the priorities of the Steelers management? There is still a huge question in my mind about what we do if one of the big three QBs is there at 30.

Saw where Malik Hooker had surgery for a sports hernia and a torn labrum. They say he'll be ready by training camp, so no Combine etc. Not that we had a shot anyway but just an fyi...
