I knew the defense scared me.

So much for having a secondary, at least the ones that couldn't cover before could tackle, why did they even keep Lewis as long as they did, he looks as bad as he did hie rookie season.

I give him a pass because he is doing things to try and confuse the QB and he moves up to the line to dirupt the blocking scheme. God knows an o-lineman has to miss a block in order for ziggy to get any pressure. Workout wonder does nothing on the field, he is a huge letdown.

other than Troy, all of them looked bad. Lewis, Taylor, Allen, Mundy. I would at least tried Brown.

I know this won't happen, but if someone played that bad on Belicheat team he would bench them for at least a play or a series.
Tayor is scared of Thomas, did you see him diving for the grass? Lewis is not even in the picture on some reception. When a receiver (tightend for that matter) can catch a pass, fall down, get up and make the first down and you are still not in the picture, something is wrong.

I agree with ALL of this!!! I am not and have never been a big Keenan Lewis fan. He is not a rookie and I have seen enough of him in the past couple seasons to know he is not the answer. Our pass rush is non-existent and Ike is overrated. :frustrated:

Exactly...anyone want to argue about the suspect run D now? Couldn't stop obvious running plays for anything.

I am not sure who the two defenders were, but late in the game Manning hit a guy on the right side line about 2 yards short oi the 1st down. Our two bone heads go over there and nonchalantly jump at the spot the guy was in, while the receiver gets up and curls around them diving up field for the first down.
Summed it up right there for me. It was like they expected him to stay on the ground since they were coming. Lack of aggression? Playing scared of penalties? I don't know what it is, but it is so uncharacteristic of Steelers Defense it is sickening.

When Foote is your best player on the defense during a game something is wrong.

Ike didnt play well again and Mundy/lewis isn't the solution.

This was a complete "Team Loss"..
The offense couldn't take advantage of a couple short-fields, Ben missed a few wide-open scoring chances, the front seven on Defense couldn't stop the run or create pressure on the QB.
In fact, admittedly the defensive backfield was inept but nothing in front of them was helping their cause..
I can't believe that I'm saying this but.... I think that our O-line was the best looking unit on the field for us.

This was Lebeau's 75th birthday, Denver pizzed all over his B-Day party, his Defense played like they turned 75 instead of him: Hey Dick, happy birthday, but it is time for you to retire and give a young guy a shot, Ray Horton moved on because he didnt want to wait till you turned 100.......

I would say special teams was the best looking unit on the field.

No long returns. Suisham kick out of the endzone and made all his field goals. Plus the rookie Butler did well too.

Been watching this team for 15 years and my health gets poorer every year as I do it. My wife even goes "I don't know how you do this every week."

Then towards the end she tried to make herself feel better as Manning kept walking down the field. She started going "Steelers are stupid @(@($ nuggets. Yes! Cover that man 10 yards off! Chase Chase! Ooooh wait! Don't tackle! Just slide off him! Yes Troy, look frustrated!"

She was also so frustrated that we ran about 75% of the game when the Broncs clearly had our number on it. She resorted to "Run it! Run it some more! Into that wall of guys! PLOP! SPLAT! Yeah! STEELERS! PLAN A IS PLAN A! NO PLAN B!"

I started chuckling myself at the end when I realized this team just didn't have it together for this game.

Its pretty much a given to put the kickoffs will go out of the endzone in Denver, but I agree, Suisham was solid with his field goals and Buter, despite looking extremely nervous, did a great job.
