I'm posting this for friends of mine who live in Clarion, Pennsylvania. They can trace their ancestors back to Abraham Clark, the signer of the Declaration of Independence.

They are wondering if there are any other descendants out there who happen to have family records (photos, family bibles, church(es) attended, etc.) linking Oliver Henry Clark to his father James Jackson Clark.

Here are their six generations leading back to Abraham the signer:

    7) Don M. Clark, g-g-g-g-grandson (1912-1988), married Margaret McGarrity
    6) Edwin Earl Clark, g-g-g-grandson (1873-1927), m. Edna Jane Reardon
    5) Oliver Henry Clark, g-g-grandson (1847-1920), m. Catharine Bittenbender
    4) James Jackson Clark, great-grandson (1818-1894), m. Maria T. Kinnear
    3) Abraham Clark II, grandson (1785-1858), m. Lydia Ridgway
    2) Thomas Clark, son (1752-1789), m. Elizabeth Dixon
    1) Abraham Clark, signer (1726-1794), m. Sarah Hatfield

Thanks in advance for your help!

I am from the clark family. I come from Lydia ridgeway Clark, sister of Oliver Clark. I am doing much research on the family and applying for DDSI at present. I have much on oliver's family and am working with a descendant of his now completing our family. You may personally email me and i can give you what i have. donnabowman@cogeco.ca.
