He was seen walking around the WVU game with A. Luck this week....no limp...no signs of problems....just walking anyway.

hope they don't rush him, i'd rather have him for two or three games less than possible if it ensures him having a long and productive career in black&gold

I read this very thing and was suprised. I thought his knee injury was more severe. If this is in fact the case we should have him back and playing right before the playoffs.

I hope he becomes a game changer in the future. Not so sure I would call him that yet though. We all read the press before the season started about him struggling - which I'm not down on the guy for, in fact it's expected. But let's not annoint him all-world just yet until we see him make a difference on the field.

He was turning the corner, he was beginning to play
without having to think! He was getting much more agressive
he would have made a world of difference even early on in our line play.

I hope he comes back on the field healthy, and ready to help us get into the playoffs, as soon as whatever the rules on that new, "designated for return", injury list allow!
Glad to hear he is walking around without a limp, but that is a LONG WAY, from putting weight on that knee, and pushing with it against an NFL caliber D-Lineman.
I ABSOLUTELY do NOT want to rush him back, if he is not really ready to play, and put his future at risk...
From everything I have read/seen/heard about him, he could be one of the biggest additions to our O-line, in years...
If we gotta wait another year, to pair him with Pouncey, fine.
That would be much better than putting him out there too soon, and having that knee become a recurring problem...
All that said... we don`t know yet.
Until he gets "in the stadiums", "On Sundays", we won`t know if he lives up to the hype...
But this kid looks like as close to a sure thing, as you can get in the draft... :praying: :towel:

Just saw this on espn.com. Sounds like he's really doing well and he's doing all he can while he's out. I liked what Haley said "He's no longer a rookie mentally." Man I hope he can get back fully healthy later this year.

i was just rewatching an old game (2005, Bears @ Steelers) and it was just a pure joy seeing the OL (esp. Faneca on a few sweet plays) blowing up the defense ... even when they had like 9 players at or right behind the LOS.

what would i give for only half of that awesomeness ... would still translate to close to 100yds rushing and more than we have right now :-(
