I am not sure I understand the point of this?also, who thought that about Burrow? Everything I read about him going into the draft was he was a lock to be a star in the NFL. Also, Jackson was a reach in round 1 which is why he fell. His success is all about his ability to run.

    Burrow is mobile.

    Jackson is a scrambler.

Tomlin has said they want mobile, there is no confusion here.

The ability to process is a given. Pickett is who I want, or trade for a vet.

If You read the other comments I talked about it. A lot had Him as the weakest arm,and least mobile therefore they had Him down their list. You can find them all over if You look. I'm not saying You, or everyone did. I'm saying a lot did. I've also heard that Lamar should Have been 1st Qb off the board. Again not You.
Also Just because He was picked 1st means the Bengals saw it this way not everyone else. I saw it that way also, but I'm just an armchair scout.
Mayfield was also a 1st pick. Though He shouldn't have been.
So where they are picked doesn't prove anything. I thought nobody from Mayfields class should go in the 1st round. Yet 5 did.
Just like this Year I only think one should go in the 1st round. Pickett, but I would bet more go.

Didn’t just about every mock have Burrow going #1? Are you sure you aren’t just listening to the voices in your head :lolol:

Also, theres not a GM and coach out there that is going to target a QB that can only run. You are making up a narrative for people that want mobile QBs that they aren’t pushing.

Now, you may not agree with their evaluation of a QB on whether he can do more than just run but I assure you no one is going “hey, this guy can’t pass for **** but he sure can run, lets draft him!”

Not making up anything. It's out there. I'm not digging it up. You would be surprised at How many say Huge Arm, and 40 speed. Like that's the end all be all.
Only narrative I'm pushing is processing should be 1st thing looked at. Not the last, and If You think I'm making this up..... then Why is Malik Willis number 1 on so many boards???? It's not because of His processing that's for dang sure. Anybody, and Their house pets can tell You that. LoL

If processing is what's most important maybe we should draft a computer?

Clearly I was joking about the voices in your head thing but as several people have pointed out, your statement doesn’t hold any weight when the guy was projected as a 1st rd pick and was taken there.

I’m sure you did see people saying the things you say but that doesn’t make them the majority. The majority saw him for what he is.

I haven’t looked at mocks yet but it’s early yet, doesn’t really mean much right now.

Now, weak arm and lack game processing….I read that about Mayfield on countless scouting sites

They level of thought being put into the Haskins deal is truly astounding. They are trying real hard to get us to chase a squirrel. He is in Pittsburgh because Tomlin wants him to be, not to force a 1st round pick out of some team.

This is crazy. He played a half against the numbers 1s in a preseason game and put up a QB rating of 2.

If the Steelers bring in a Vet, I don't think he even gets a roster spot next year.

My money is still on Dobbs to be the #3 QB in 2022. I don't think Haskins makes the roster if Dobbs doesn't get injured last year.

Looking at last years draft where would you have drafted Trevor Lawrence? I don't think there was a Mock draft out there that didn't have him going #1.

Would you have taken Mac Jones with the overall #1 pick instead?

I absolutely hated the San Francisco pick of Trey Lance. San Fran traded 3 first round picks to move up 9 spots.
"49ers acquire No. 3 overall pick from Dolphins; Miami gets No. 12 pick, two future firsts.

Lance I would have taken, and also. Mac Jones. Doesn't mean either will be great, but I would have taken both in the 1st.

It’s a smart move, really a no lose situation for the Steelers. Smart move by Tomlin and Colbert.

Doesn't this cost them extra money?

He should be playing on another 1 year deal for league minimum next year to start training camp.

Both Dobbs and Haskins should be signing a 1 year deal to come to camp and fight it out for the #3 QB spot.

Dobbs is way past his use by date

I expect him to get a salary position

Dobbs is only 26; and to me he was having a good camp before the injury last year. What started out as an assumption that Haskins would make the roster, was turning into a big question as to Dobbs or Haskins

I think Dobbs will be back to compete for that 3rd string QB spot in 2022.

BTW; I see Mason competing with a free agent vet for the #1 spot next year.

Definitely to the last part. As for Dobbs, maybe. It’s not hard to find a number 3. At this point a number 3 should be a guy with potential to move up? That’s not Dobbs.

Does anyone here have the slightest clue what the org really thinks about Haskins? Has he worked hard on all aspects? We haven't seen him do anything football related in five months.

    No

Actually in a game where Ben was out and he was number 2 he came out throwing half hearted passes and playing with his phone. One of the coaches was heard calling him lazy.

    Plus he’s dumb.
