Deadline

    I may be totally off-base on this, but in some instances I have heard dates mentioned as to when players are guaranteed money (P. Manning). I believe most, if not all of these were bonuses. My questions are: 1) Do we have any of our players whose return is questionable in this situation? 2) What would the date or dates be?

    I am not sure, but I think it is sometime in early to mid March when the roster bonus counts?

    that's when PM is due, march. not sure if that is the same for all teams though.

    There is no one that will receive a bonus close to what pm gets right?

    March 1st is when Roster Bonuses are due, which is what you are referring to I believe. Casey Hampton and Kemoeatu are two who spring to mind immediately, but there are probably others that escape me at the moment. I'm not sure of the outcome with some of these contracts because if they wait until after June 1st, then they'll defer the 'dead money' into next years cap. Someone may want to fact check me on that, though. :)

    I wouldn't think so. My biggest concern was Hampton's 8mil. When is that guaranteed?

    I believe Hines is due a roster bonus on March 1 or something. So a decision on him will be made by then.

    They're not talking about the size of the bonus...but when it is (compared to Manning's)...the Steelers would never get someone that kind of bonus, jeeez.
