DB's and defenses

when the DB's all lead your team in tackles you have bigger problems. that takes it's toll on pass defense. ike is a good tackler, I'm not sure where 6 came up with he's not. he's always been one of the best run support corners in the league. as are most of the steelers corners.

 

I'm sure Manning and his whiney coach Fox, spent the off season complaining to the league office about the refs letting the hawks mug their receivers.......

 

Have you been watching Ike play the last few years? His tackling has been horrible, not only does he give up receptions he compounds it by not tackling the WR and giving up YAC. I didn't say Sanders can't catch my problem with him was he didn't seem clutch dropping passes on third downs catchable balls. Remember the playoff loss to Denver when Demaryius Thomas destroyed Ike he threw Ike off like a ragdoll.

 

every defensive player that has played that long has missed some tackles. it doesn't mean they can't tackle.

 

Ike was a good tackler when he was younger, it seems his technique has gotten sloppy IMO.

 

Probably just Goodell trying to get his Ravens back to the Super Bowl.

And jogging after offensive players as they sprint up the field. Ike's play has gotten downright ugly.

 

His on field effort has declined steeply. If Ike was a kid instead of an old veteran, his ass would've gotten benched and likely cut long ago.

 

Games a team effort not a one man failure called Ike.

With a robust speedy LB core getting after it each and every play, + Cam Heyward and good solid help from Safety. I think you'll see Ike is a solid cover with above average abilities.

 

I'm not sure what that means, but I assume it's not good. Either way, I stand by what I said.
