Hey I was over it. I said yeah under the stupid catch no catch rule JJ did lose control I could except it, didn't like it but could except it. Then while I was wasting time at work I saw that replay of the Pats game wining catch in week three total BS. It's a catch if you belly flop on a loose ball as you fall out of bounds so no one can see it. The explanation from an NFL official that try's to explain the difference is freakin joke.

Not into the crazy conspiracy theory's but some consistency would be greatly appreciated.

Brady didn't give them a gift. Heyward made a play, tipping the ball. But your overall point is correct. They needed one more play. Davis's missed opportunity was one of those plays that would have won for them if he made it.

Yeah we did lose this game with 3:56 left on the clock. I am okay with running at some point during that series, but not on the very first play when everyone in the world, including NE, knows that you are going to run. Hopefully you learned from that Tomlin. Should have been play action because I think we could have caught NE and got a big gain and then we could have run.

Yup... and guess what, we absolutely and undoubtedly win that game if he was suspended like he should have been. NFL is full of greedy idiots with an agenda -- no better than politics.

I agree, I don’t dispute they have a rule in place, my issue is that you cannot actually see the ball hit the grass. They released a stupid video that has a pointer saying the front of the ball was touching grass. The problem is that his hand could have been under the ball and the tip of the bal simply touching turf should not overturn a call on the field. The video I re-posted from another user showed the Patriots player losing control of the ball. They stated that the call on the field was a catch and would not overturn cause they couldn’t see his hand. As far as conspiracies, I do believe there is a bias towards certain teams that will generate revenue. Another user pointed out that the Steelers loss now made all of the games in the last two weeks meaningful. And, the NFL Network shows screwed up and said the Patriots now have home field. But... they have two games left? If the Jets or Bills look the make waves, you will see weird well placed flags in 3rd and Long to push the game one way or another. Think about this: the feel-good story of the year is the Jags, last week they had a dam fight with players crawling into stands, punches flying but no suspensions? They want them in to revive a slow market in Jacksonville. Imagine Mike Mitchell trying to enter the stands in Foxbouough, his career would be over.

Just because the officials got it wrong in the Patriots-Texans game doesn't mean they got it wrong again Sunday. And yes, if the ball touched the grass it does prove that the pass to James was incomplete. The ball clearly moved. If it moved and touched the ground, then the call is correct.

The only argument is whether or not he was a runner when he crossed the goal line. I get the argument that he landed on his knee with the ball under control, then changed direction to reach into the end zone. That said, he was on his way down the entire time, so the rule about having to hold on to the ball as he hits the ground still stands.

It was the right call. It was a mistake by James. He should have known you have to control the ball as you hit the ground and you can't risk it by reaching out in that circumstance. I know some people see it as an understandable mistake, but the issue is what James did, not what the officials called.
