The Steelers are going to need their pass rush to get to Rodgers often, the Jets tackles are kind of weak and hold a lot. Highsmith should return for this game, the Steelers secondary is going to have a tough assignment.

And fans like you will complain about not winning in the playoffs, sometimes you need to make a bold move and be aggressive.

It's not a bold move...it's a desperate move that would minimally improve the Steelers chances. But please continue to be jealous of the Jets aggressiveness / success.

Welp, our league worst WR room continues.... The Aiyuk deal not getting done hurts a lot worse than the Adams one not getting done. Adams was going to be on the books for too long at too high of a cost. I'd rather see us throw 20 million at Higgins or Godwin/Cooper in the offseason anyways. But we need to do something even on a 1 year rental basis this season. We can't keep rolling into games with Jefferson and Austin being WR2 and WR3 and think we are going to gain passing yards on anyone.

IDK about desperate. Our WR room outside of Pickens is garbage. Its absolutely awful. We definitely need to improve that part of our roster this season if we want our offense to start to pick up a bit. We are just to easy to shut down. Double Pickens and make Fields throw to Jefferson and Austin, who are by measurable metrics some of the least open WR's the league has to offer.

We are looking like a team that almost HAS to take a WR and RB with our first two picks next year.

He scorched the Steelers in Vegas last year. Hope he doesn’t do it again Sunday night.

I don't disagree with your assessment of the WR room or the limitations that places on the offense. I just don't believe that the picks and contract the trade would have demanded makes sense for the current state Steelers.

And agreed somewhat with the draft speculation. WR will be a need...not so sure about RB that high though. More the reason to keep picks and not trade them away.

Adam's list was Jets or Saints. The media kept the Steelers on there for clicks. He wasn't coming here. He only wanted Rodgers or Carr.

If you have a WR like Adams defenses won't be able to use double coverage on Pickens, or continually stack the box to stop the run.

It's going to take a lot more than 20 million to sign Higgins.

Maybe they should've just picked up Najee's 5th year option, then they wouldn't have to use a draft pick on an RB. They will need help at DL and CB also I wouldn't draft an RB within the first two rounds

We wouldn't be trading any high picks for guys that won't be here for multiple years. I don't see an issue with trading away a day 3 pick for a one year rental at the WR position. I also agree that the Adams trade wouldn't have been in our best interest long term due to the cap hit and years left on the contract for a WR of Adams' age. We do have to get better at the WR position this year if we want to win anything past the regular season though.

The Aiyuk trade would have been a home run for us. It is getting sadder every week that we don't have him on the roster.

Somehow we'll get the polar opposite of last night's officiating crew, and they won't call anything on the Jets this week.
