I think Moats will be the odd man out.

On a side note, Im not usually a fan that clamors for position change but what would people think of JJ as an ILB?

If they think JJ is gone after this season then maybe he's the odd man out if he's fairly equal to Moats and Chick.
Something tells me Chick is the odd man out though.

Moats would be the logical choice for a move to ILB. He played there in Buffalo.

Not really a fan of it. Just play the best two, based on how they've performed already.

Will Tomlin factor in who these guys are playing against?

They will dress who ever gives us the best chance of winning.

Chick, because of age, still has upside and that takes reps. With the other two, you have what you will have.

i've mentioned this before and i think he could move inside. just not as a starter. moats struggled at ilb even in buffalo. chick should get the nod to me. the trouble is left side, right side with these guys right now.

as i said last week, bud was playing some right side which is a change from how we generally use him. harrison is a right side guy too. chick has been left side. moats has been mostly left side, but they did try him a small bit on the right. jj has been a right side guy but they did move him to the inside a little bit and he looked pretty good there when it was tried. we have had our best results when we have moved the backers around. even rushing timmons from the outside at times. i don't think jj is any slower than vince williams or matakevich. he has played pretty decent in coverage too.

I would really like to which of the 5 has the worst attitude. I would put him out. I'm guessing that is JJ, which would be fine with me. I don't care who plays as long as we can find a way to keep Timmons stopping the run and rushing the passer and not trying to cover anybody. Man, It seems like every time the QB is about to get hit they can release it in the middle and gain 10. Need to stop that. Although last week I thought for the most part coverage was pretty decent.
