    Of course. No surprise here.

This is what happens when a man like Jerry Jones is comsumed by such avaricious ambitions and neglects perspicacious intution. An Owner simply cannot be a "One Man Army" governing a sports franchise; the NFL especially.

Why not have Romo teach Dak in the event players like Ezekiel Elliot are not is something many Cowboys fans should be quite aphonic about. Setting up the successor to the Franchise Quarterback is something that General Managers and coaches should analyze; Owners being informed for better prioritization.

Ultimately though, all three must work in succession to achieve sustained success over the course of time. Otherwise, only short microbursts of success will occur; triggering a seemingly endless cycle of complacency.

Is it really that much a surprise the Cowboys have not seen the NFC Title Game since 1996? For that matter, 2-8 in the past decade?

To end this post, here is something quite interesting from the world of Twitter:

Ordinarily, I would be happy with a Cowgirl loss. Not to the Chokers though. Can't Dallas find someone to teach their defense how to tackle?

Tony Romo was always better than Dak, but stats don't matter, wins do, and Dak was racking up tons of wins last year while Romo was hurt. With Zeke going, Dak is good enough to help the team win a lot of games, which is exactly what he did. Jerry Jones is a lot of things, but there was simply no way he could pull Dak. Dak was winning and was winning a lot, you can't pull a QB who is doing what he did.

Romo needed to retire. He simply couldn't stay healthy.

Seriously though, we lose bell and we chug along. We lose shazier and we chug along.

You’re telling me that losing zeke will cause your 35 ppg offense to go to 7,9,6 points? And losing lee to make the defense to crap that hard?

Other than losing ben we usually do ok. That’s just awful depth building

Any game the crybabies lose is a good game and brightens my day, turns out Dak isnt the second coming and another year like this one and JJones will be looking at QBs again......

I knew Dak was overated. There defense is suspect.

    As is their OL.

Zack Martin and Travis Frederick are far from overrated. Those two are HOF candidates and could instantly boost any offensive line in the game.

Tryon Smith's inability to stay healthy is what causes him to be for me. If anything, his back will prove to be his comeuppance. Otherwise, he still has a worthy resume. Should his health hold up and can snag a couple more All Pro Awards and Pro Bowls, he is headed to Canton.

I agree with everything else though. :drinks:

He does not hold a candle to Brian Kelly of Notre Dame. Has great starters but lacks the depth to challenge the Ohio State and Alabama teams of the world.

Their run defense is a sieve without Lee. Fortunately they are my least favorite NFL team.

This is what happens when owners either hire GM's that they can manipulate or hire good people that act in the best interests of the organization, but leave the first chance they get. Jimmy Johnson and The Big Tuna were never going to by Jones' yes men, that's why they have a born and bread Cowboy as the HC. The Redskins under Snyder are similar.
