heyward worked out. ziggy didn't. keisel got hurt for a good chunk of the season and we had to play our other DE backup at Nt. it's not like it didn't work out. we had injuries. if keisel and heyward and mclendon had played all season we wouldn't have been saying how bad it was. if mclendon would have gotten some playing time in the last two years casey shouldn't have been playing full time it wouldn't be as bad. we didn't replenish well and kept hoping hood was going to become the player we thought. we knew fairly early that he was not a good fit, but we had old vets and two first rd. picks. kev wasn't going to admit we made a mistake. same as OLB talent. same as ILB talent and just kept bringing back foote and sly, when we knew we had to upgrade.

now we have come full circle and are in a spot that we have to take guys for need instead of BPA. we have dug a hole and we are going to pay for bad planning. same as the O-line for years and years now. now we have to force feed a couple of new players from free agency onto our team that we wouldn't have just to field a team. bad business kev. KC dug this hole. same as the corners and safeties. I don't see this getting better any time soon. it's going to eventually lead to us having to give up ben down the road and start over. when you overpay for mediocrity it's going to bite you at some point. well it has. we will have to reckon with that.
