Thank God. Towel boy who played receiver in high school would be good news.

Benching Moncrief was a no-brainer. I'm not sure why they are starting Johnson over Washington, especially with Rudolph making his first start, but I'm good with anything that keeps Moncrief off the field.

I think our base set these days is 11 personnel with 3 WRs, so I would consider both Washington and Johnson “starters.”

Its a good move. Mason worked primarily with Washington and DJ in preseason. Has an obvious connection with Washington. DJ made a heck of a catch Sunday, he's been impressing in his limited action. JuJu will still be leaned on the heaviest and rightfully so, Mason threw to him the most last week.

Haden said DJ has the best release off the line of any of our WR's, that jumps out at me too when I watch him on film.

Never thought I'd be excited if Ben ever went down with a season injury but I can't wait to see how they play Sunday.

Hope they don't let us down!

I think we are all excited. This is virtually a new offense/defense and can be the next ERA of Steeler football.

Steelers been showing lately that they are trying at least...

Well, going to Wash/DJ and adding Fitz are moves I really wanted. And I fully believe in Mason. Excited to see what's next.

Like the move. For that matter, I like Diontae's progession thoughout the first two weeks of the season. Very promising!

Let us hope it can continue against Sam Fran.

Hopefully this will mean less playing time for both Moncrief and Switzer.

Why do I have a feeling like this is one of those "I'm going to take the appropriate action" things from Tomlin where he holds him out the first series and then plays him the rest of the game. If he is inactive Sunday I will stand corrected.

I just hope people will be patient. The 49ers are a good team and rolling right now. Plus we never play well in the Bay area.

We haven't seen anything from Johnson that proves he is even a quality starter in this league, much less better than the guy who was the best receiver in the league for about four years. People need to be just a tad more realistic.

It seems like the board in general has gone from massively negative to massively optimistic.

I’m hopeful the changes will kickstart something - there’s some interesting film breakdown I’ve seen showing how Ben’s reads were off this year - but I’m also half expecting a bunch of threads next week on how awful Mason is because he didn’t throw 6 TDs.

It’s going to take a bit of time for things to click with so many new players on offence. We need to be patient.

The number one thing I want to see tomorrow evening is an improved run game. That’s the key to getting JuJu, DJ and JW open.

The changing of the guard has begun, Moncrief may never see anymore significant snaps.
