the article breaks it down pretty well. they will probably have to do some internal moves (extensions and such) if they are going to sign a WR or trade for one depending on who and the price.

If the team doesn't trade for a Wide Receiver, an extension will likely take place next. Question becomes who is the player that gets the extension?! Should be Pat Freiermuth but I don't think the team is going to extend him just yet. Fields could but likely not until the conclusion of the NFL Preseason.

Boy, I am not sure what Pat Freirmuth has done
to have earned an extension. He is a blocking liability and with
new OC supposedly run oriented he better learn to block better
    than what he does.

We could have the cheapest QB room in the NFL

I'm pretty sure it is between the top three of them they're earning 6-7 million total.

A restructure of Minkah could clear up another 9 million dollars.

We're actually spending about $1 million more this year than San Francisco.

Forgot they had a 7th round draft pick on his rookie contract. Nice catch

good info - thanks for sharing, was just discussing this w a friend this weekend - they will still make a move for a WR, I think.

this team will have a solid roster.

Tomlin will show us again that he is Mediocre Mike - but have NO FEAR - ROONEY just DOUBLED DOWN! what a clown show we are. the STANDARD is the STANDARD!

Said it once, will say it again. they will not win another ring w MT at the helm, may not win another playoff game - I guess we will see!!!

Why? Even if they bring in someone like Aiyuk, his 2024 cap hit would only be something like $14 million.

They still haven't spent Highsmith money they cleared up when they extended him before the draft.

I knew you could not read.

I said RING - unless you give rings for playoff wins, you and Rooney seem to equate the 2.

Mediocre Mike - like it, live it, LOVE IT!!!!

Friermuth has not shown anything deserving of an extension.

did you read the article i posted? it explains how much they have and will have. they are actually by the start of the season about 2 mil. over the cap so yeas they will have to make a move for more money to sign a wr of any amount let alone a guy with a hit of 14 mil.

Because they would need 5-6 million cap space that they carry into the season, Aiyuk 14 million would take up most of their cap space.

Wow, none of the sites I am looking at Like Spotrac, or Overthecap are showing the Steelers needing to clear $2 million in cap space before the start of the season.

I said May Not - you are not dreaming.

but Mediocre Mike has a nice playoff game losing streak, longest in the business.

    he stinks
