Read a lot of authors from England. Always see that they seem to enjoy beans on toast. Odd to me but figured I give it a shot. I put baked beans on a piece of white toast. It was good but just odd to me.

A lot more prep work cooking it in instant pot.
    Cook rice , drain
    Sautee onions
    Brown ground beef
Add onions and rice and your choice of bread crumbs, i use panko to ground beef. Mix well
Cut top off of green peppers. Remove seeds
    Add the mix to peppers
    Pressure cook for 9 minutes
    Release pressure when done
I cooked or heated my tomato sauce on stovetop.
Put stuffed peppers in casserole dish and cover with tomato sauce
    Enjoy
The only reason I did it in instant pot, its 130 degrees outside and the last thing I want to do is fire up my oven. My ac working overtime as is.

I do this almost the same, but I mix in Italian sausage with the ground beef....otherwise almost the same.

Wife and I are trying it next week. We use Success rice. I'm sure it works the same as any other rice.

Oops, forgot we don't turn on oven in hot heat. Maybe my area will cool down a bit next week?

I finally got a Blackstone I always wanted. (AKA: The wife finally let me. :roflmao:)

Time to learn how to make proper hibachi... spinning and bouncing spatulas not included. I'm too old and uncoordinated for that.

I spent a couple of weeks in Scotland back in May, and beans were part of any full breakfast. I had a few, but it just didn’t seem to fit. Haggis was always present as well, but it only took one taste of that :poopy: to satisfy my curiosity and make me never touch it again.

Haggis = disgusting. I too was in Scotland many moons ago and me and my buddies got it. I think it was mushed up lamb or rabbit. All I know is we all took 1 bite and threw it out.

"Sheep's stomach filled with meat and barley."

"And what do you do with it?"

    "You eat it!"

    "How revolting!"

Haggis is pretty much beef organ and lamb organ meat ground with a variety of spices and stuffed in a casing then cooked. I'm not sure if you eat the casing (sheep's stomach probably isn't used too much today in favor of safer manufactured casings).

We have a similar product here in the states: scrapple. We just cook it a bit differently. (I LOVE scrapple. Sadly, my southern belle wife refuses to even try it. So I have to get my fix at certain restaurants).

I'll try ALMOST anything once - not just food. (beer and whiskey! Get your mind out of the gutter)

I never got to try haggis. But I wouldn't hesitate if offered it.

Sounds like haggis is just a type of sausage. I'd try it. Now, Lutefisk? hell no. Balut? double hell no. Now that i had 2 stents put in, I have to be on a "heart healthy" diet so those things probably wouldn't be allowed anyway (I hope!)

A note of caution, i was a teenager, yes i was once young. I used to spend weekends at my grandmas, i made cream of mushroom over toast before bed, went to sleep woke up in middle of night sick as a dog. Maybe or maybe not it was the cream of mushroom soup, but i wasnt taking any chances, as i avoided it for awhile. True story.
