Something that Tomlin and crew get bashed for a lot here is clock management. They certainly deserve the criticism most of the time, but I need to give them props for last night. We don't have a chance to win that game without all our timeouts on the last drive.

How often do we have all of them at that point in the game? I would guess almost never.

I was thinking the same thing. I was surprised we actually had all 3 TO's. But obviously the coaches realized we might need them, I just can't figure out why they don't always realize that. I would rather a delay of game penalty than to burn a TO in the 2nd half

It was easy to keep them since they were letting Landry throw so many imcompletions. Maybe that was part of their clock management strategy??? LOL! Just kidding. We really did seem to manage it ok last night relatively speaking.

FG at 18 seconds was the right call.

If not for the penalty, there's a 10 second runoff for injury. Depending on when they stop it, might not be enough time left. Just glad it all worked. Too bad Tomlin didn't ask Ben to go in after touchdown.

I was gonna start a thread on Tomlin but since you have this one started if you don't mind I would like to pipe in on something. I was very impressed with how our team acted most of the game and you have to give credit to the coaching. If you watched most of the 1st half every time someone from the bunholes tried something our guys were quick you grab each other and get away. Anyone else notice this, now as far as Joey goes not gonna lie I think he set up the Bunholes and they fell into the trap.

Agreed. I thought all in all our guys did a good job not getting sucked into the shenanigans for the most part. The coaches are a different story Haha.

I have been very critical of Tomlin's game and time management this season, but I thought he did well in both respects last night - other than Blake's snap count

Tomlin did a great job. A lot of players had the game of their life.

I give credit to Big Ben, toughest QB in the league, if he dosen't come back out we LOSE. If Shazier dosen't get the fumbles we LOSE. If Todman and Tossaint don't have the game of their life we LOSE. Give credit to Tomlin for not doing anything crazy. Still didn't understand why we quit blitzing in the 4th quarter and let them have all day to throw, this could of cost us the game however I give Tomlin credit for trying to keep order with our players versus the more undisciplined, stupid, Bungle players.

The only complaint I have is dropping back to pass on 3 and 18, up by 15-0 deep in your own territory, bad weather, 4th quarter, etc. Classic run a draw, change the field a little and maybe get lucky scenario. Instead Ben goes down and the tide turns. Just throw in a little Billy Ball football for me

The one complaint I had is this, why did we kick it to Pacman with 14 seconds left in the game. I was holding my breathe there and visions of a return were dancing in my head.
