He's a great weapon, being the dual threat that he is.

Yeah and he's really even more than a dual threat because he can block as well. I'd say that he's the guy I'm most looking forward to watching next year.

Unfortunately for Bettis, Cowher, and Steelers fans everywhere, O'Donnell decided a bigger paycheck was better than greater shot at titles. He left before Bettis came aboard. I have no doubt that the Steelers could have (probably would have) won Super Bowl XXXI had O'Donnell stayed. They had a shot at XXXII, also. The passing game was there. And all the O'Donnell haters should look at the season he had in 1995 WITHOUT a great running game. With O'Donnell in place, than Kordell would have stayed in and been more effective in his "Slash" role. Everything else, with Bettis now aboard, would have fallen into place. :hmmm:

That's why I (not so) affectionately refer to him as Neil O'Dummy!

True but all our players were leaving for greener pastures back then. I always hated when our guys approached free agency in those years because I knew the chances of us paying them were next to nill. :frustrated:
